His eyes seemed to flutter open slowly and he found himself staring at an unknown wooden ceiling.
It seemed old and slightly broken. The wood had many splinters on it, which showed its age.
Arbeya sat up, but immediately regretted it when he felt an intense burning flare up on his side. Looking down at his side, he saw that he had been bandaged up and healed.
He was sitting on a white mat with a thin white cloth acting as a blanket.
The floor all around him was wooden and so were the walls of this old raggedy hut. Looking in front of him, he saw a set of double sliding doors with a square framing. The doors didn't have glass like most would, instead they had a thin sheet of paper to block outside breezes from entering as well as rain. Looking at the sheet of old peach paper, he could see light coming from outside.
"So your finally awake" came a voice next to Arbeya. The boy turned his head to see the ronin from last night. He sat leaned up against one of the wooden walls, his sandals off by the entrance of the hut.
Showing his dirty feet and uncut toe nails.
The ronin still wore his straw hat and his cloak over himself like a blanket. His sword rested next to him, leaned up against the wall as well.
"Thank you for helping me last night" Arbeya said as he stared at the ronin. The ronin looked up at him and smiled. This was the first time Arbeya got a clear look at his face, and he had to say, the ronin looked shabby and like a homeless person.
The ronin had only one eye, his right eye had a vertical scar running through it. His left eye showed off a bright ocean blue iris, a few red veins apparent on his eye from lack of sleep. Just below that the ronin had a small and dirty stubble beard. His black hair was long and done up into a scruffy, unkempt, ponytail.
His black vest had splotches of dirt all around and so did his cloak and pants.
Even the matt black sheath for his sword had some dirt on it. The ronin's overall appearance was that of a crummy person. Though one thing stood out about this ronin, and that was that under all of the dirt and dust, you could tell that he was actually young. Arbeya guessed that he was about 25 or 26 years old.
"It's all good, especially since I'm pretty sure that I'm the one that hurt you" he said and his dry lips stretched into a smile.
"Oh no, I got hurt from the horned bear you killed earlier. It wasn't any of your attacks" Arbeya said and smiled back at him.
"Horned bear that I killed, which one?" he asked and Arbeya chuckled. "The first one you killed" The young black male said and the ronin chuckled.
"My name is Daisuke Izanagi" The ronin said and wiped the dirt from his hand onto his pant, sticking it forward for a handshake once he was done.
Arbeya gladly accepted the handshake and said "My name is Arbeya Meiwa".
"Arbeya Meiwa, your not from around here are you? by here I mean Japan" Daisuke said.
"Your right, I'm actually from America. I'm here on a foreign exchange program" he said and Daisuke looked at Arbeya confusedly.
"Foreign exchange, it's when you take two students from completely different nations and swap them around. Making them stay in a different nation from the one where the other student came from. You basically take the other students place and they take your place in the school they went too. It's normally done by high schools and some colleges" Arbeya said and Daisuke nodded. Even though he clearly still didn't understand.
"I've been here in this mountain for a very long time, I only ever leave when I need to get food or when I'm just bored" The shabby swordsman said and Arbeya nodded.
Letting his eyes wander toward Daisuke's sword, the sword had an old look to it. The sheath was matt black and had blood red flower illustrations on it. A crimson ribbon connecting each flower. The hilt of it was black and white with a small piece of metal attached to the end of the blade that looked broken. Like something had been there before, but had now broken off.
"This is my sword, it doesn't really have a name. You may notice this broken piece of metal at the back, that's because their used to be a metal star there. I used to be able to store energy in the star, but it broke off at some point and I lost it" Daisuke said when he noticed Arbeya's eyes on his blade.
"It seems cool, I saw you cut that bear in half yesterday you also destroyed some of the forest" Arbeya said and Daisuke blushed, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
"You must be really strong" Arbeya spoke and clenched his fist. Taking in a deep breath through his mouth, then releasing it through his nose. Trying to build up courage for what he was about to say.
"Daisuke, I know that this is out of the blue and may come off as weird, but could you please train me. I wanna become stronger as well. For the longest time I felt as if something had been missing, yesterday night I found out exactly what was missing and it was this. The feeling I'm getting right now is that I wanna do things like what happened last night again. I wanna fight strong people and get stronger, and I feel like I could do that with you as my master. So please train me" Arbeya said and looked to Daisuke to hear the mans reply with a fire of determination blazing within him.
"No" Daisuku simply said and doused out those flames. Arbeya looked at Daisuke with a kind of heartbroken expression and the ronin stared back with a blank expression.
"Why!?" he exclaimed and quickly regretted it. His wound flaring up once more at his side, making him wince in pain.
"Thing is I already have a student and I don't wanna have two. That's his bed your currently on right now, he's just not here 'cause he got captured and I haven't gone to save him yet" Daisuke spoke while he held a bored expression.
"Gone to save him? what do you mean he's been captured?" The orange eye male asked.
"On the other side of this mountain a few miles away, theres a base there. He ended up getting kidn*pped by a few of the people at the base for his ability. I should have gone to go rescue him, but I just haven't gotten around to it. Plus this place isn't big enough for 3 people, it's barely big enough for 2" Daisuke said and shrugged, using his pinky to pick out a booger and flicking it away, before crossing his arms.
Gotten around to it, that means that he could have done it a long time ago but he was just procrastinating. His pupil gets captured and he lazes around~
Arbeya thought and wondered what kind of teaching method Daisuke had.
"I'm planning on rescuing him today, speaking of which I gotta get going" The scruffy man spoke and stood up from his position on the floor.
Stretching out a little, he picked up his cloak and katana.
"Let me help! if I can help you get your other pupil back will you make me your pupil then? Besides, one man can't take on an entire base by himself" Arbeya said and rose to his feet as well.
"Hmmm..." Daisuke thought for second. Rubbing in his small stubble beard before shrugging.
"Alright I guess" he said. "Yes!" Arbeya said and grinned widely.
"We gotta go now though, try not to slow me down with your injuries. The base is a good ways away and we'll be walking. Also do you have a change of clothes, I can't imagine you walking around with those clothes soaked with dried blood" Daisuke said and Arbeya looked down at his pants.
Seeing his once black sweatpants were now stained red, almost, all over.
"I don't have anything else to wear, all my clothes washed off in the riv...er" The boys words slowed as he remember the events of last night. How Takamura and his goons had thrown him into the river, how they had laughed afterwards and how one even flipped him off.
It made his blood boil with rage once he remembered it all. A vein bulging on his forehead and the back of his hand. His fingers curled and got balled into a shaky fist.
"Daisuke, theres just something I wanna do before we leave" Arbeya said and the dirty ronin raised a brow at him.
UN☆C~A◇N~☆NY
Arbeya could see the campsite up ahead.
He had a one track mindset as he walked angrily through the forest.
Stepping on twigs, dried orange and red leaves and a few branches as he walked through the dark forest.
He couldn't see the great blue sky above him, the green trees leaves were blocking it out.
The green and brown bark on the trees seemed to make the forest mesh like a well drawn picture.
That's when he heard a slight moaning coming from nearby.
His head snapped in the direction of the soft moans and he saw a shape moving around on the ground. It was covered with dried leaves, so he couldn't tell what it was.
He began to walk over to the shape and bent down to get a closer look. Moving the leaves away from the shape, he saw how a few of the dried leaves had blood on them.
His eyes widened once he finally saw what was under the leaves, it was Shinji. And the poor boy was battered and beaten. Sporting a black eye, a cut and bleeding lip, a few bruises and blood trailing down the side of his head.
He wondered who could have done this, but his mind quickly connected the dots.
He felt his rage skyrocket to higher heights than ever before from seeing his friend beaten like this. Unlike Arbeya, Shinji didn't have a powerful ability to protect himself. The poor boy must have covered himself in leaves so that he wouldn't be attacked by wild animals. Sighing, he scooped Shinji up in his arms and began to walk toward camp.
Stepping out of the forest, he looked around to find where Takamura was. Seeing everyone sitting by the eating area, calmly eating their breakfast.
"Ar..." Arbeya looked down, surprised to hear Shinji speak. "It's alright, I'll get you help just now" He reassured him and Shinji gave Arbeya a battered and beaten smile.
One of his teeth missing as the boy went to sleep, trying to numb the pain he felt with sleep.
Arbeya began to walk toward the eating area with a stoic expression on his face.
A few people noticed him and Shinji, seeing how they were bleeding and injured. Mia immediately running over to Arbeya, asking "What happened!?".
Arbeya turned his head to look at her and gave her a soft smile. Sticking out his arms to give Shinji to her, she carefully took him into her arms and nodded. Knowing what to do, she ran off to find a teacher.
Arbeya turned his head to stare at the eating area once more, his smile dropping as he did.
Everyone stared at Arbeya with surprise and slight fear. And understandably so, the boy had arrived in front of them with only his pants and shoes on. His pants were almost entirely red with his own blood and his black shoes had splotches of blood on them. He had bandages wrapped around his waist with a crimson red damp mark on one of his sides. Indicating that that was where he was bleeding from. He was completely shirtless and his abs as well as his muscular physique was on show for everybody to see.
His orange eyes finally landed on Takamura and his table of goons. He looked at the table and saw Takamura with Haru and his goons.
The table of people stared at Arbeya with fearful expressions, all of them unmoving as he stood and stared at them.
Takamura was the first to react, standing up from his seat and saying "What! you got something to say dipsh*t?".
He began to walk toward Arbeya as the boy just stood with his arms at his sides.
"I've just about had it with you! your always bossing others around! acting like a real tough guy. Well look at you now mister tough guy! can you even stand straight with those wounds!? I'll finish you off myself right here right now!" Takamura yelled out and his appearance began to change. Brown feathers began to appear on his arms and legs and his feet soon turned to sharp, gnarly talons.

Takamura glared at Arbeya as he launched off in his direction. Takamura soon began to bounce around in the air. Moving up, down, left, right and diagonally in quick succession.
Bouncing around like a pin ball in the air at top speeds, speeds that a normal human wouldn't be able to keep up with.
"Can you see me Arbeya!? You can't can you!? this is it! Now let me send you to the hospital with Shinji!" Takamura yelled out and snapped towards the young males direction. Flying like a bullet straight at, a bullet with a menacing smirk about to stab right into Arbeya. His smirk quickly dropped though, once he looked up and saw Arbeya gkaring down at him.
A loud crash was then heard as Arbeya seemed to pound Takamura into the ground. A large vein bulging from Arbeya's bicep as he punched downward, knocking Takamura into the ground.
Takamura's blood being left on Arbeya's fist while the boy lay unconscious, his eyes rolled back and a tooth lay on the floor next to his head.
Arbeya looked to the rest of Takamura's goons and simply glared at them.
His eyes drifted to look Haru in the eye, the blonde stared back with complete fear in those chocolate brown eyes of hers.
Arbeya looked back down at Takamura and. ent down toward him. Undoing his belt buckle and pulling his ripped Jean's off of his legs with his Gucc* belt as well. Slinging Takamura's pants over his right shoulder, the boy simply turned around and began to walk back toward the forest. Leaving everyone in a state of shock at the events that had just transpired.
