Okay class, since you all handed in your permission slips we'll be going on the class trip this Friday. We'll be gone for the whole weekend, so pack a good set of clothing for the wilderness" The teacher, a middle aged man with glasses and basic attire, said.
The class all cheered and began to talk about the class trip just as the bell rang for lunch. Almost everyone began to flood out of the classroom toward the cafeteria. Arbeya watched lazily some students stayed behind to eat their packed lunches inside the classroom.
"You ready to eat" His orange eyes drifted to look forward at Shinji as the boy held two plastic blue containers in hand and stared down at Arbeya.
"Thanks, I really didn't wanna walk to the cafeteria and buy lunch" Arbeya said as he took one of the containers from Shinji.
Shinji looked at the desk in front of Arbeya's desk and pulled the chair out from behind it. Turning it around to face Arbeya's desk, he sat down. Now facing the orange eye male as they both opened their containers to eat their lunch.
"Katsudon?" Arbeya said and closed the plastic container with a disinterested look.
"What's the matter? you love my mothers cooking" Shinji said as he took a bite out of his Katsudon.
"I know but...ya know what forget about it" Arbeya said and placed the container onto the floor next to his desk. Folding his arms on top of his desk, he rested his head on his arms in an attempt to sleep.
"You know you've been acting really strange lately" "Oh yeah? how's that?" "Like you've been really meh about things. Your suddenly not interested in anything lately. What's up with that? you know you can talk to me" Shinji said and placed a hand onto the back of Arbeya's head. Shinji's tanned hand felt the smooth texture of Arbeya's wavy hair.
The hand quickly got slapped away though, Arbeya raised his head to look at Shinji with a weak glare. "Don't mess up my hair, you know how hard it was to find a good comb for my type of hair" The orange eye male said with a uninterested look. Shinji stared back with a charismatic smile, but Arbeya could see the mischief in smile.
"You wanna know what's wrong? my life here is what's wrong. Now let me explain, I'm not saying I don't like you or this school or your family. It's just that...somethings missing ya know? Back in America I used to get into so many fights where it was kill or be killed. Now I feel like I've settled down and I'm not doing any of that anymore. Idk bro I guess, I guess I just miss the action. I miss getting stronger. I wanna go on an adventure" He said and plopped his head back down onto his arms.
Shinji shrugged and looked down at Arbeya. "We could fight, would it make you feel better" "No, beating on people weaker than me isn't fun and it's not moraly right either" Arbeya responded, making Shinji's heart break from being called weaker.
"Yes! I beat you!" both boys heard a yell come from across the classroom.
"No fair! when did this character become so OP!?" a second yell came. Making Shinji and Arbeya look over at the table where a bunch of boys were huddled up watching two other boys play Inc Battles.
Arbeya stood from his seat, the brown wooden chair he sat on getting pushed backwards as he did.
He began to walk over to the group of guys, turning left and right as he made it through the maze of desks. Finally making it over to the group and looking over the one guys shoulder to see what was happening.
"This is my new favourite character" one of the guys sitting down said and kissed one of his cards. The card was gold in colour and said A- in the corner, the guy himself was skinny and had black hair with black eyes. The card that he held was the same card that Shinji's younger brother, Shiro, had had.
The Ink card of Tré Meiwa.
Arbeya looked at the card and rolled his eyes at it.
"This new Tré Meiwa is OP now that he's A rank. He's the hottest selling card out there right now" One of the guys at the table said.
There were about 5 boys standing around the table, add Arbeya and Shinji and there were now 7. While 2 boys sat at the table facing each other. On the table was a set of cards with different people, colors, ranks and names on them.
This is a popular card game all around the world known as Inc Battles.
You see, in this world their exists establishments known as Inc's. Inc's are kind of like guilds but are more modern, so they abide by the law.
Making them official companies instead of just guilds. Thus the name Inc, short for Incorporated.
Inc's are used for missions, if you have a dangerous mission that you want done, you send a request to an Inc with the details of the mission and the reward listed on it.
Missions can vary from protecting a Prince of a foreign land to helping with simple household chores.
To differentiate between the dangerous missions and the others that aren't, these missions are given rankings. From D rank, to C rank, To B rank, to A rank, to S rank, then to SS rank and finally to SSS rank.
The higher the ranking for the mission, the higher the payout after its completion. But these missions are not so simply that you can complete them easily, because people can die on these missions. Especially if they come up against a dark Inc. Dark Inc's are illegal guilds that break the taboos among Inc's.
Taboos such as not being able to take on assasination requests, not taking the public's lives into consideration while working and not allowing innocents to get harmed during missions.
Once you join an officially legalized Inc, your name gets put through the system and a playing card gets made of you and your allocated a rank depending on your overall strength.
At the top of the card, the name of your Inc is printed as well as your name. These playing cards are see as playing cards to the civilians, but between the Inc's they are seen as warnings of a Inc's strength. If you become stronger, then your card gets updated. Since all Inc cards are high tech, once they push your new update through the system; your card gets updated then and there. With no need to buy a new one with the updated rank on it.
The power rankings for cards go as such:
(D) Ranks - Card colour is brown
(C) Ranks - Card Colour is bronze
(B-) Rank - Silver
(B) Rank - Silver
(B+) Rank - Shiny silver
(A-)Rank - Gold
(A) Rank - Gold
(A+) Rank - Sparkling Gold
(S-) Rank - Shiny Metalic silver with rainbow effects
(S) Rank - Shiny Metalic silver with rainbow effects
(S+) Rank - shiny metalic silver with rainbow effects
(SS-) Rank - Shiny Metalic silver with rainbow effects
(SS) Rank - Shiny metalic silver with rainbow effects
(SS+) Rank - Sparkling metalic silver with rainbow effects
(SSS-) Rank - Sparkling metalic gold with rainbow effects
(SSS) Rank - Sparkling metalic gold with rainbow effects
(SSS+) Rank - Super sparkling gold with rainbow effects
Your highest ranking members indicate the highest ranked missions you can go on. If you have atleast 1 A rank in your Inc your guild will be allowed to go on A Rank missions. Having 1 S Rank will allow you to go on S Rank missions. Or if you have 5 A ranks you can go on S Rank missions.
Ofcourse the attacks on the back of the card are fudged a little so that they don't give away a persons ability to enemies. But the stats at the back of the card are all real and depending on your rank your stats have a level cap.
Take Tré Meiwa's stats for example.
His defences is at 100/100. This does not mean that he has an all powerful defense and nobody can harm him.
100 is just the level cap of his rank. If he had to move up to A+ rank the level cap would increase to 150. In that rank there are people with defences of 150/150. Which would essentially making their defence stronger that Tré's. Tré is currently a part of the Iron Claw Inc. Iron Claw is the 3rd strongest Inc in all of Japan and 364th strongest in the world.
Inc's get ranked from best to worst depending on a number of variables. To name a few things they get ranked on are, number of missions complete, rank of missions complete, amount of casualties sustained during work. Both by members of Inc's and innocents, amount of S or A ranks in the Inc and more variables. All of these get put into a system and it indicates your spot in the country. But for some, this is an unfair system. The common excuse is that their are certain diamonds in the rough, people who's ranks don't correspond with their strength. So a tournament among Inc's was created. Sarcastically called the Ink Battle. This is a tournament held once every 4 years between the Inc's of Japan to gauge your Inc's and your members overall strength.
"Alright well, you've forced my hand. Now it's time for me to use this one" One of the boys at the table said, this boy had blue hair and eyes, as he pulled out a S- Rank card. On the silver card, that had rainbow effects, it had an image of a woman that had pink hair and wore a rose red pantsuit with a red tie. She had no dress shirt on below her blazer, instead she just let her breasts hang freely. Slight cleavage was seen as her red tie rested in between her breasts. A white coat was draped over both her shoulders and her hands were stuffed in her pants pockets. Her shoes with a pair of black male office shoes and her eyes were cerulean blue. She held a menacing scowl on her face with a cigarette between her lips. At the top of the card it said 'Iron Claw CEO' in big bold letters and under that her name. Chizuri Emi.
"Wait you actually got her, the CEO of Iron Claw" One of the boys said and the boy with the card sat proudly as he basked in the complements he got.
The leaders of Inc's are known as CEO's.
That's when the card in the boys hand began to change. A dim light shining from the bottom of the card, circuits began to appear all over the card and the light began to move upward. The beginning to update itself right then and there.
The ranking on the card changed from S- to S class as the light moved up over the whole card.
Once the card had finished updating itself, the circuitry disappeared and a slight gleam was seen to indicate the update was finished. All the boys looked in awe as even the image of the woman on the card changed.
She now wore a navy blue pantsuit ,instead of a rose red one, with a design of koi fish and silver fish scales all over it. Her tie was now baby blue and still rested between her breasts on account of the fact that she was still not wearing a shirt under her blazer. The white coat on her shoulders was now grey with a slight metalic edge to it and she now had on black leather gloves while holding a mat black staff in her hands. Swinging the black staff at the card holder with the same menacing scowl on her face. A few wind effects were seen on the end of the staff to indicate that it was being swung at high speeds. A cigarette being lit between her plush pink lips. Her blue eyes stared daggers at the card holder as if they were her enemy.
"Cool! she got updated!" the boys yelled out, making Arbeya cover his ears in annoyance at their yelling.
"I'm outta here" he said with a leisurely look on his face and turned to walk back over to his desk. Shinji doing the same, both boys sat down in their previous seats and continued with their lunch time conversation.
"You know what, I'll eat" Arbeya said as he grabbed the plastic container and opened it up.
"There you go, now say that you'll go on the camping trip" Shinji said and both boys began to laugh. "Fine, I'll go on the trip" Arbeya said and the two boys heard another commotion. This time coming from the hallway. They both turned to see the most popular girl in school was walking on by. Her name was Haru Mamaru. She had on the normal girls school uniform, which was brown leather school shoes, a brown knee length skirt, some black pantyhose, a white dress shirt and she also didn't wear the school tie. Nor did she wear the school blazer. She had blond hair and brown eyes with relatively big breasts and butt.
She had a mole under her left eye and had on lush pink lipstick over her plump lips.
Her pink flashy bra could be seen from under her white dress shirt, attracting all of the boys is attention toward her.
Haru's skin was a light caramel colour due to the fact that she wasn't entirely Asian. She was half Asian half black, making her mixed. Unlike a few of the other Asian girls in the school whose skin was slightly pale.
Arbeya turned to look at her and they both locked eyes for a second. Orange locking with brown in a battle for dominance, a battle that Arbeya gave up on. Due to the fact that he was too lazy to try.
"Woah bro, you just got Haru to look your way man! so you gonna ask her out?" Shinji asked and Arbeya simply shook his head saying "No".
"Huh? why not" "Cause she's a thot man, and I've learnt not to mess with those from America" Arbeya said, remembering all the girls that used to come after him because of his bad boy persona.
He still had that bad boy persona now but it now had the opposite effect. When he arrived in Japan, someone had leaked his records around the school. Everyone in the school then found out how many offenses he had against his name. Arbeya didn't have an official criminal record but his school records were enough to show that he was a bad guy.
Which made everyone at this school afraid of him, some spreading rumors that he carried a knife to school.
"She's not a thot, well maybe a little, but c'mon dude. Maybe this is what you need to get out of your funk" "She only dates the biggest toughest guys in school, and you can see the way she dresses. She's a thot if I ever saw one" Arbeya said and Shinji frowned.
"Your really bumming me out man" the tanned Asian said and then the bell for the end of lunch rang.
Everyone soon began to enter the classroom once more for the next lesson to begin. It was now history class and Arbeya could barely keep his eyes open. He hated history, he didn't like learning about old things that happened way before his time. Like the Cold War or Nazi Germany.
He liked to, instead, look to the future and bot the past. Besides, it didn't matter if he played attention or not. He couldn't see past the kid in the second rows horns so why bother.
Arbeya found himself looking around the classroom at everyone else as they all read off of page 82 in their textbooks. Just like the teacher had instructed them to.
As he looked around, he once again locked eyes with a certain brown eye girl. She had her body turned to the side with her feet next to her desk in the direction she was facing. Her back, leaned against the cold white wall of the classroom. Haru's seat was all the way on the other side of the classroom from Arbeya's seat, who sat by the window.
His eyes quickly became bored as he stared at Haru and she stared back. Raising his hand, he gave a lazy wave to her. She gave him a soft smile and a giggle in return. Her thin, Asian like eyes seemed to open and close with a slight seductive look in them. He rolled his eyes and decided to play along with her little game. Giving her breasts a quick glance, before looking back into her eyes. Making it apparent that he was looking. Haru winked at him and turned to get back to her textbook.
He then felt a menacing presence staring at him. That menacing presence was almost every guy in class, even Shinji stared at him with slight malice. He raised his arms in defence and got back his boring old textbook. They all soon got back their own textbooks.
The rest of the day went as per usual and everyone ended up going home later.
