“Lockdown,” is all I say to her. I hear her groan as she gets out of bed.
“Give us ten. We’ll be ready,” I basically order the bikers and walk to my room. “If you want something to eat or drink, it’s in the kitchen!” I yell while packing my stuff once again.
“WRONG! Balance on your toes!”
“Focus!”
“Keep your hands up—protect your face!”
“Eyes on your opponent!”
I’m sweating. My muscles are burning, and my lungs are screaming for air. I let myself fall back on the ratty mattress when I finally make it to my room and stare up at the gray ceiling that’s seen better days.
“You’re getting better,”
I lift my head to see K leaning against the wall of my room.
“Thanks,” I reply, letting my head fall back again.
“Haru is a complete disaster, though,” he jokes.
