The nurse hesitated, looking at the others in the room.
“We’ll give you a moment,” Killer said, tugging Violet gently away. “Come on, let her breathe.”

“She’s fine,” Killer said quietly. “She’ll be better when she can ask the question she doesn’t want to ask out loud.”
Violet gave Haru a long look, then nodded and let Killer guide her away. Devil lingered near the doorway until Haru met his eyes and nodded once. He left last, but not without glancing back.
Once the door clicked shut, the nurse exhaled. “Miss Ito… You’re pregnant.”
The silence in the room was deafening.
