The guy who picked me up didn't answer any questions and took me to a building. It was enormous and super luxurious; I guessed it must be a condo. When we arrived, he took me up the elevator and pressed the button for the top floor.
"This is a condo owned by Mr. Thanadol's group. There are ten condos in England, and this one is the most exclusive in the group."
Mr. Thanadol is the person who provided the scholarship for me and my friend. He is Mr. Plerng's father. Hearing this gave me goosebumps about his wealth. In this lifetime, I probably won't have the chance to experience such wealth.
"Follow me," he said as the elevator doors opened, turning to lead the way. I quickly followed.
He stopped at a door, took out his phone, and made a call.
"I've arrived, sir."
I stood there shaking with excitement at working in such a luxurious place for the first time in my life.
In the past, I only worked as a server in restaurants, washing dishes and such. I had never worked in such a fancy place before.
"You can go in, Aey," the guy who brought me said, acting as if he was about to leave. I called out to him, "Aren't you coming in with me?"
"My duty is only to bring you here, Aey."
"Ah... Oh, okay," I nodded in response, and he walked to the elevator.
I stood gripping the strap of my shoulder bag tightly, taking a deep breath before reaching out with a trembling hand to open the door.
As I stepped into the room, the cool air from the air conditioner hit my skin, causing goosebumps to rise all over my body.
"The air conditioning is so cold," I muttered as I rubbed my arms and looked around the room, but I didn't see anyone.
What should I do now? Did Mr. Plerng want me to clean the room? Can just cleaning a room earn a salary of hundreds of thousands?
"You came quickly."
"Ah!" I jumped when I heard a deep voice from behind, close to my ear. When I turned around and saw Mr. Plerng's face just a few inches away, I quickly moved back.
I didn't know when Mr. Plerng had approached; I didn't hear anything. He was now wearing a black bathrobe, which looked very imposing, and I was quite embarrassed to see him in this outfit, so I quickly turned away.
"Go take a shower."
"What?" Suddenly being told to take a shower had me puzzled, so I turned to look at Mr. Plerng, not understanding. "I've already showered before coming here. Should I get started now?"
"You seem to be more impatient than I am."
"I just want to start working ^_^" I'm all set to dive into any task, whether it's sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, cleaning windows, or scrubbing the bathroom. I can do it all.
"I'll let you pick where you want to start in the room: the sofa in the living room, the balcony, the kitchen, the bathroom, or the bedroom."
I thought for a moment, wondering why I was given a choice. Was it to decide where to start cleaning in the room?
"Let's start with the living room, then the kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom, and finally, the balcony ^_^" I listed the cleaning points in order.
"Think you can handle it?" Plerng asked with a furrowed brow, looking surprisingly puzzled.
"Of course, it's my specialty ^_^"
"You've been at it since you were fifteen, I think?"
"Yes, don't underestimate me. I've been at it since I was fifteen, I think. I can't really remember. At first, it was tiring, but once I got used to it, I'm ready for anything now ^_^"
"You started at fifteen?"
"Yes, or maybe fourteen, I forget because it was so long ago."
I wasn't sure if I was talking too much, but Plerng suddenly went silent.
"Then take off your clothes," he said, sounding rather irritated. But what shocked me was why he wanted me to take off my clothes.
"Wh-why do I have to take off my clothes?"
His thick eyebrows furrowed together again, and his cold eyes stared at me as if he was deep in thought.
"What are you talking about?" he asked.
"About cleaning the room. Didn't you hire me to clean the room?"
I noticed that Plerng was clenching his jaw tightly before letting out a heavy sigh. "Who told you I hired you to clean the room?"
Suddenly, I sensed the malice in his deep voice as he asked, making me too scared to respond.
"Did you read the documents I sent you to sign yesterday?"
"N-no, I didn't," I replied, looking down.
"Hmph! Good, I like people who aren't thorough."
"Huh?" Normally, people say they like thoroughness, but what Plerng said was the opposite. Maybe he's been abroad so long that he's forgotten Thai. I didn't dare to correct him.
"Want to read the documents? I can get them for you."
"Yes, I want to read them."
Mr. Plerng disappeared into the bedroom, and shortly after, he returned with a white sheet of paper in his hand before handing it to me.
"Read it."
I took the document, which I hadn't read yesterday, and since Mr. Plerng knew, he seemed displeased and wanted me to read it again.
As I carefully read it, I was surprised by the content printed on the paper. It roughly stated that it was an employment contract until I graduated, requiring my consent to any actions Mr. Plerng might take, including s****l activities. This document was confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone. If I wanted to cancel the contract, I would have to pay one million baht.
What on earth is this madness? Why is the content on the paper written like this? Mr. Plerng must have grabbed the wrong document.
"Did you grab the wrong document?" My hand trembled as I grasped the meaning of the words on this paper, but perhaps there was some mistake.
"If it has your signature, it means I didn't pick up the wrong one."
I quickly looked down at the paper again, and indeed, it had my signature on it.
"I... I refuse to accept this job," my instincts kicked in, and I immediately rejected it when I sensed something was off.
"Sure, if you pay one million baht."
I looked at Mr. Plerng in fear, finding him incredibly intimidating. Why did he deceive me like this? His charming appearance was completely at odds with his ruthless nature.
