Episode- 5 The end The office was quieter than usual that morning, but the tension was palpable. Amara had arrived early, determined to finish her work before Resi could find a reason to sabotage her again. But she couldn’t shake the nervous excitement bubbling in her chest — today would be decisive. Ethan appeared almost immediately, as if he had known she would be there. He smiled softly at her. “Good morning, Amara,” he said, his voice gentle. “You ready for today?” Amara smiled back, her nerves settling slightly in his presence. “Yes, sir. I’m ready.” Across the office, Resi and Ryan exchanged glances, whispering quietly. Their latest plan was desperate — they intended to discredit Amara completely. Resi had even gone so far as to enlist Ryan, believing he still wanted Amara. But Ryan knew the truth now: his heart had always belonged to Ethan, and he wasn’t willing to ruin the man’s happiness. Amara, unaware of their plotting, was focused on her tasks. But as she moved toward the printer, she overheard fragments of their conversation. “…if we tell Ethan now, he’ll fire her,” Resi hissed. “Please… let’s not tell him,” Ryan said nervously. “She doesn’t deserve this.” Amara froze. She realized everything — the sabotage, the thrown food, the impossible tasks — it had all been part of a plan to push her out. And she also realized something else: Ryan didn’t care about her; his loyalty had always been complicated by his feelings for Ethan. Her chest tightened, but her mind was clear. She had already fallen for Ethan, and nothing Resi or Ryan could do would change that. ⸻ Ethan entered the room just as Amara stepped back from the corner, realizing he had overheard them too. He looked from Resi to Ryan to Amara, his expression calm but authoritative. “What is going on here?” he asked, his voice carrying the weight of command. Resi opened her mouth to speak but hesitated. Ethan’s sharp gaze silenced her. “Amara?” he asked, turning to her, softer now. “Are you alright?” “Yes, sir,” she said quietly, her heart pounding. “I… I understand now. I know what they were planning.” Ethan stepped closer, placing a protective hand lightly on her shoulder. “You have nothing to worry about. I would never let anyone hurt you.” Amara looked up at him, her chest full. All the fear, frustration, and exhaustion of the past days melted away. She realized that despite the chaos, she had found her place — with him. ⸻ That afternoon, Ethan’s mother arrived in the office. Her presence filled the room with authority and elegance. “Amara,” she said sharply, fixing her with a cool stare. “I hear you’ve been causing… disturbances.” Amara stood tall, her confidence bolstered by Ethan’s unwavering support. “I’ve done nothing but my work, ma’am,” she said calmly. Ethan stepped forward, his voice firm. “Mother, Amara has proven herself. She is capable, intelligent, and loyal. And she is exactly the person I want by my side.” His mother’s eyes narrowed. “I want someone of… suitable background. Someone from high society.” Ethan shook his head. “I don’t care about that. I care about her. That is what matters.” For the first time, Amara saw the proud, unyielding side of Ethan — the side that wouldn’t bend, wouldn’t compromise, and had chosen her. ⸻ Resi watched from across the room, her schemes unraveling. Ryan stood silently, guilt and relief warring in his expression. The office’s balance of power had shifted, and it was clear who would prevail. Ethan took Amara’s hand gently, his touch firm and tender. “Amara, you’ve been through a lot in these few days. But you’ve shown courage, patience, and heart. And I… I’ve realized that I’ve never felt this way about anyone before.” Amara’s eyes shimmered with tears of joy. “Sir… Ethan… I…” He smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “I love you, Amara. That’s all that matters.” She laughed softly, overwhelmed with relief and happiness. “I love you too.” The office seemed to pause for a moment, the tension of the past days replaced with something lighter, warmer, and infinitely more beautiful. Even Ethan’s mother, seeing the sincerity in both of their eyes, softened ever so slightly. She might not have understood everything yet, but she could see the bond that had formed — and perhaps, eventually, she would accept it. ⸻ Later, as the sun set and the office emptied, Amara and Ethan walked together through the driveway. The chaos, jealousy, and sabotage of the past days felt like a distant memory. “Tomorrow,” Ethan said, squeezing her hand gently, “you won’t be facing anything alone. I’ll always be here.” Amara smiled, resting her head briefly on his shoulder. “I believe you. I really do.” And in that quiet, stolen moment, surrounded by the fading light and the calm of a victorious day, Amara realized something profound: no matter what the world tried to throw at her, love had won. And this time, she belonged — completely, truly, and forever — with Ethan.
