CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX Eyelids heavy, Toni twitched at the dagger-like pain digging into her brain. I’m still alive? It felt as though someone had smashed a brick against the side of her head. After a moment, she gave up trying to force open her eyes and concentrated on her facial muscles instead. They were weirdly stiff and sore.
