(Michaela’s POV)

I must’ve fallen asleep from the motion of the car, because i was awakened suddenly by Melissa shaking my arm. We are here, she excitedly declared as we pulled into a small town center with a cute little Main Street lined with shops. It looked like a picture out of a Hallmark movie. School must’ve just let out and little kids were walking in small groups. Moms pushing babIes in strollers There was a barbershop, pet store, and a little diner. As we drove down further we pulled into a parking lot and I read the sign “the Jerome Motel“. Realization struck me, we were in our mothers hometown. I turned to look at Melissa and smirked…you didn’t! She replied yes I did, we’re both adults now, well you will be as of tomorrow… It’s time that we had a little fun like my mom and yours did when they were teenagers.

(Melissa’s POV)

I walked into a small

Main office and rang the bell and a beautiful girl not too much older than me walked out from the back room and greeted me warmly. “Hi I’m Emily welcome to the Jerome motel what can I do for you today”. I quickly confirmed our reservation for a room for the weekend paid then I met Michaela outside with our key. Are you ready for some fun? She nodded excitedly and we went to our room to put away our luggage.

First we decided who would sleep in which bed. Then we unpacked a few of our belongings into drawers and the closet and began to plan out our night.

You know, I was thinking we should really try to go find that club mom and Sara always talked about. After all that’s where a lot of their fun stories started! I raised my eyebrows at Michaela suggestively hinting to her need of finding a man to let off some steam.

(Michaela’s POV)

As melissa started discussing going to the club our moms frequented as teens i couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt for lying to my mother and melissa’s mother Carrie. Hey melissa we may want to check in, it took a lot longer to get to Jerome than it would Ashford and they’re probably worried. We quick snapped a selfie of the two of us, being careful not to have anything in the background that could determine where we were. We sent it to the mothers so they would not be worried. After taking care of that we decided to take a little nap so that we would be ready for a fun night out.
