Third Person POV It's laughable. Nathaniel stares at his desk, his chest tight, his hands resting lightly on top. It doesn't make sense. It doesn't feel right. He frowns, itching to touch it, but also aware of how painfully thin it is. There's almost nothing there. "That's all?" Adeline whispers in disbelief, her hand to her mouth. He slowly opens it. He might as well not have. The paper states the eyewitness account of one of the maids who claimed to have seen the whole thing and nothing more. When had he gotten so lax? Any other incident would have been investigated thoroughly before conclusions were made. But in this instance, Nathaniel had jumped the gun.
