I thought I had lived through the toughest pain that life had to offer. I'd lived through beatings, humiliation, and the kind of torture that leaves emotional scars that will never leave you. But that's nothing in comparison to what I feel right now.
It feels as though my soul has left my body, and there's nothing but an empty shell remaining.
