Riley POV It came out of nowhere. One moment, I was riding my bike, wind in my hair, mask tucked inside my pocket and the next second a black SUV tried to ram me off the road. The windows were tinted, and I couldn't get a look at the driver, but the speed they were going was dangerous. They swerved repeatedly over the empty roads, growing more and more reckless as I dodged their repeated attacks. "f**k," I snapped, barely able to swerve out of the way in time as it came up right beside me. I flipped the driver the finger and pressed hard on the pedal, bursting past him. There was a sharp corner, and I took it, wheels squealing, body pressed tight, breathing shallow as I gripped the handlebars for all I was worth. I made it. Just.
