Leo's companion trailed after him, which wasn't easy considering he never eased his pace. They left at the same time. Still, it was as if he was a hundred meters away.
"Yes, you did. I know you don't wanna' believe that you said 'thank you' to , well, me, and believe me, that's cool," Serene shrugged. "I'm not trying to befriend you or push myself into your life, but, I do have a question I want answered. Please? *Sigh*. I’ve been thinking about it alot and I would really like to know what that’s about."
Their conversation brought them to a staircase. They hurried down the steps, not realising that they were going round and round in circles. It was halfway down that he chose to answer.
