Chapter thirteen

Winnie fell asleep in English class and this caught the attention of the teacher, Miss Margaret , “Miss Harlow!” she called from the front of the class and Winnie woke up immediately, “Please don’t sleep in my class” she warned, and Winnie shook her head, Wendy turned to look at her and turned back.

   The bell rang, it was time for lunch, “okay class, make sure you have your assignments ready after the Halloween break, have a nice Halloween” she smiled and Winnie walked out of the class and Wendy and terry followed her swiftly

“Are you okay girl?” wendy held her hand, as it seemed like she might fall, “I don’t think so, I’ve not been getting enough sleep” she leaned on her locker, “obviously and what’s that on your neck, looks like you were being strangled” Terry tried to touch it but couldn’t, “I don’t know” Winnie said with her eyes closed, “so about the party” Terry chewed his gum and Wendy hit his shoulder, ”not now, can’t you see she’s not in the right mood” Wendy pointed to Winnie who looks really exhausted, “it’s okay, my mom said no but agreed to let us have a slumber party” She sighed, “aww” Terry sounded disappointed, “it’s okay, we’ll be there, at least you don’t get to wear the outfit” Wendy laughed and she smiled, “let’s grab lunch and probably get you pills, because you look like a mess.” Wendy held Winnie’s arm and terry held the other and they walked to the cafeteria

      They walked to the cafeteria, got their food and found a space to sit, Stephanie stood on the table and hit a fork on a glass repeatedly to get everyone’s attention, finally everybody stopped chattering and paid attention

“ Listen up everyone, as we all know, starting from tomorrow is our Halloween break and some of us will be attending parties and different hangouts but no one throws a party better than me, all those who attended my party last Halloween can testify to that” she smiled, “anyways I’ll be having a party again same time as always on Halloween, you are all invited to enjoy the wealth I enjoy every day, this year will be better than the last, Can I get a cheer for Halloween?” Stephanie yelled, “Halloween!, Halloween!” the students cheered and Stephanie laughed and finally got down from the table.

“I kind of want to go, the fact that I can’t stand her still remains but she does throw amazing parties” Terry looked in Stephanie’s direction

“You can go if you want to terry, besides why miss a big party to have a dead slumber party with me?” Winnie stabbed the tater tots in her plate, “why don’t we all just go then we can spend the night at your house?” wendy shrugged, “makes sense, but I don’t feel like going” Winnie opened her carton of apple juice, “it’s because you are feeling kind of down right now, let’s just go, get a couple drinks, smoke and who knows find love” Wendy teased Winnie and rolled her eyes , “fine” she finally agreed, “yes!!!” Terry laughed and the bell rang, “well see y’all after class” Terry carried his bag and strut out of the cafeteria.
