Chapter 6 : the 2nd date

Nari arrived at her architectural firm the next day with a mix of excitement and apprehension swirling in her mind. Despite her attempts to focus on her work, thoughts of Joshua and the unexpected bouquet of flowers kept creeping into her thoughts.

As she settled into her office, Nari couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation building within her. She busied herself with drafting designs and attending meetings, but her mind kept wandering back to the events of the previous day.

During a rare lull in her schedule, Nari decided to take a break and call her friend, Elle. With a quick tap on her phone, she dialed Elle's number and waited eagerly for her friend to pick up.

"Hey, Nari! What's up?" Elle's cheerful voice greeted her through the phone.

Joshua wasted no time in getting to the point. "I was wondering if you'd be interested in going out for dinner with me tomorrow night," he said, his tone casual but hopeful.

Hi Nari he replied while standing. He gave her a peck on the cheek and pulled her chair out for her. she thanked him and sat down after which he did too.

Their dinner was filled with laughter, conversation, and shared moments of connection, with Nari as usual doing the listening and smiling and joshua doing the taliking. As they lingered over dessert, Nari found herself feeling more comfortable and at ease in Joshua's presence. She couldn't deny the chemistry between them, although she did feel frustrated at the fact she couldn't get a word into the conversation with Joshua, she wouldnt deny the fact that she felt a sense of excitement building within her as they talked late into the night.

As they said their goodbyes outside the restaurant, Joshua pulled Nari into a warm embrace, his eyes sparkling with a good dose of pride at being the one to embrace such a beauty, He had seen how the men's eyes in the restaurant kept flickering to her. "I had a wonderful time tonight, Nari," he said softly, his voice filled with sincerity, After all who wouldn't even you could literally feel the envious gate the men where throwing at him.

Nari smiled up at him, feeling a surge of happiness wash over her. "Me too, Joshua. I can't wait to see you again," she replied, her heart brimming with hope for the future.

As they parted ways, Nari couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected turn her life had taken.
