How it all came crashing down

“You are a very bold, strong and confident girl Ari,you always know what you want and never fail to get what you want”. Nari's mom use to always tell her while growing up.And it kinda became her modus operandi her whole life.

when she had first felt Josh dancing behind her on the night of the wedding reception, she had felt those little bubbles of excitement she would usually feel at the happy ending of any of her anime shows.

“It couldn't get better than this” she had thought,so when Joshua had offered to take her home and had asked for her contact address she had given her number giddy with excitement.

while kissing Elle good bye after giving her a short summary about why she wasn't joining her till later, her naughty friend had whispered in her ear “ that is one hell of a fine specimen Nari, I mean look at those Asian features and that body hmmmmmmm yummilicious.........he has to be of a mixed genetics and the man must work out a lot to achieve that,Amen”

with a scoff and a gentleman pinch on Elle's arm, Nari said her good bye.

“ Old money?” Nari had asked Josh after the Rolls Royce Ghost drove out of the garage.

“ You do not strike as a multi-billion dollar entrepreneur” she had added after he gave her a long sideward look.

“Well you are right I was born into it ”.with a smile and enough pride to detect in his voice he had replied her question.

Now Nari as astute as she was could have seen the warning sign,but she was far to gone me in her imagination of how lovely his slender hands were to pay attention to his tone.Or she did notice but figured everybody must be proud of their family.

After all she was fiercely proud of hers; the Rodline family.Although they weren't wealthy they were comfortable and they had enough connection to be in comfort.After all Nari had four brothers; Thomas, Nathan,Richard and Simon. She could have stayed jobless and still get to enjoy the soft life like her brothers and parents wanted for her after all Nathan was a politician, Thomas a judge, Richard a painter and simon a model.They had nothing but money, yet she started her own architectural firm and tho not the best in town, It was reputable enough to put her on Forbes list of women entrepreneur of the year front cover. she had the ability to get whatever she wanted or liked when ever she wanted or liked.......such wonderful life.

“I would like to take you on a date this Saturday if you don't mind ”. Joshua's question brought her out of her reverie

“Yeah that would be fine by me .I would love that......I should be available by 4pm,would that be convenient for you?” she replied as he pulled into her driveway.

“yeah it would ......so I'll come pick you up 4pm then goodnight ” He replied as he kissed her on the cheeks.

Nari had exited the car and waited for him to drive away before going into the house while humming a tune she remembered from feeling good by Michael buble.
