Chapter 64

Alpha Teddy’s POV

It has been almost two months since I agreed to work with The Master to get Desiree. I was able to get my Aunt to help, and she used her contacts at Crescent Lake to have someone spy on Desiree. She said there are two sisters who used to date the twins who want to get rid of Desiree so they can get them back. They are willing to help us. I also hired some rogues and housed them at the far end of my territory, where they wouldn’t be noticed. We need to find some way to get her alone.

“Alpha Teddy, this is Edwina from Crescent Lake”

“Yes, do you have any information for me?”

“We have a suggestion. She will need a dress for her Luna ceremony. We are close friends with a designer who specializes in wedding dresses who is also a werewolf. We can suggest and even set up an appointment for her to go to his store in the city. If she agrees, we will text you with details” she suggests

“I like this idea. Let’s proceed with this plan. If you run into any issues. Let me know”

“Yes, Alpha” she replies and we hang up

I then travel to the far east side of my territory, which is settled up against a mountain. This is where the rogues are staying. I have adjusted patrols to avoid this area until we are done with our plan. I talk to Norris, the one I designated as the head of the group, and told him the plan. We agree we need about ten more guys within the next week. About 20–25 rogues should be enough to get her and stop her security detail. We discussed price, and he will handle getting the other guys. After I finish that, I head back to my office. I walked in and find my Beta and Gamma sitting on the chairs in my office

“What are you doing here?” I ask

“We are here for our monthly budget meeting. But because you are so busy doing shady s**t, you don’t remember the responsibilities of caring for the pack”, Simon says

“Watch your mouth, Simon. I am still your Alpha” I say growling at him

“Whatever” he mumbles.

But, of course, I can hear him. Werewolves have outstanding hearing

“Okay!!! Let’s just focus on what we are here to do. Are you ready for the meeting Alpha Teddy?” Cole asks

“No, I have something else to do first. I will call you when I’m ready”

“Fine”, Simon says and leaves the office

“Okay Alpha. But I do suggest you shower. You smell like a rogue”, Cole whispers to me before he leaves

I know they don’t agree with what I’m doing, but it’s not affecting the pack, so I don’t know why Simon is acting like this. The only thing that has stopped me from beating the s**t out of him after his sarcastic comments is, he’s my friend. We have all been friends since we were born. Our birthdays are all a month apart and our parents are best friends. We grew up together. Even now, our parents are all retired and vacationing together. I would hate to lose my friend over this, but his attitude is getting too much for me lately. Once we have Desiree, and she is inducted as our Luna, he will be fine. He already likes her as a person, so he will be an excellent Gamma. The ceremony is next month, so we will have to take Desiree in the next 1–2 weeks. Then The Master said he needed 3–4 weeks to take her powers and perform the other spells. So, in the next 6 weeks, Desiree will be my Luna and everything will be back to normal again. I will have my mate, the way the goddess wanted me to, and my friend will see his Luna safe, and he will protect her like a Gamma should.

Desiree’s POV

Now that we are home, I need to get back to my Luna duties. We left Aunt Susan’s after three days. I was able to spend time with my family. The men in my family threatened the twins, and told them ‘You boys better get your f*****g s**t together because if you keep hurting her we will hurt you’. They were not quiet about the conversation. I told everyone about my visit from the Goddesses and what we needed to do. I did not go into details about my new powers. We called the council about Paul and let them know about The Master and the prophecy. It seemed he was putting his plan in action, if they reached out to Paul and his Mom. I have a feeling s**t’s about to hit the fan. The spell to find Renatta is still working. My grandma said it will take time. It has been twenty years. Hopefully, we will get something from that soon. One of the first things I need to do is decorate my office. There are a few jobs Luna Belinda is still helping me with, just to give me time to complete my school assignments and to address the other things that have come up. I really need a private place to work, so I made decorating my office a priority for me today. My current office is a lounger by the pool, since it is September, it is still comfortable to be out here, but that will change soon.

I just completed my last school assignment for this week, and now I am looking at furniture for the office. I received a link from the twins that Edith and Edwina are here to help me with my office. I decided I will be the bigger person and give them another try. I go to the twins’ office to meet them. When I walk in, they are sitting across from Anthony and Antoine on the sofa, showing them a design book. If Edith bends over anymore her breast will fall out of her shirt and if Edwina's skirt is any shorter you can see her private area. I walked in and cleared my throat. They both fix themselves and sit back on the couch.

“I heard you ladies wanted to speak with me”

“Yes, when Luna Belinda signed the contract with us, it was for the ranked member suites and your office. Since the suites are finished, we were seeing if you were ready to start in the office.” Edwina says

“We have already created some ideas and were just showing them to the Alpha’s” Edith says, smiling at the twins

“I am willing to listen to your ideas” I say sitting between the twins on the couch and putting my hands on their thighs

“Here are a few of the ideas we put together” Edith opens and starts going through the book

“We based a lot of these suggestions off the style held by Luna Belinda. The ideas are soft, calming, and very subtle. Like this one with pale yellow and light colored wood furniture. Her office was similar to this”, she continues while flipping through the book

“Why would you design it based off Luna Belinda when it is for me, and we had a whole consultation about what my taste and preferences are?” I ask

“We just felt Luna Belinda’s style was more classic and fitting for a Luna. But we can resubmit our suggestions with your preferences, if you would like” Edwina says in a condescending tone

“How about you do that, since that is what you were hired for” I say sarcastically

“Not a problem. Give us a week and we will present you with more options. Also, Luna, we know you will need to go dress shopping for your ceremony. We have a friend who is a wedding dress designer. We checked, and he can get you into his studio this week if you are interested”, Edith suggests

“That’s a good idea, Desi. You will need a dress for the ceremony. Since this is like our wedding, a wedding type dress would be good” Anthony says

“I will think about it and let you know tomorrow. Okay?” I say to Edith

They then get up and leave the office. I get up behind them and ensure the door is closed and locked. I am glad the room is soundproof.

“I don’t like nor trust them” I say

“Why? What happened?” Antoine asks

“First, they were hired to help with the Alpha suite and they did not help me. They kept brushing me off to the point where I dealt with the suppliers and construction myself. Now, they want to show up to help with my office. They didn’t help me before. Why should I believe they will help me this time? Also, the snide comments about designing the room after Luna Belinda’s classical style because it’s more befitting a Luna is a slap in the face. They are saying I don’t have the style and am not fit to be Luna”

“I don’t think that is what they were saying” Antoine says. I glared at him

“Yes, that is exactly what they were saying. Then I come in here, and they are flirting with you two, and you’re too blind to see it. Edwina’s boobs were practically falling out of her shirt and Edith’s skirt hid nothing. What they wore was unprofessional and inappropriate to be in front of two men, let alone mated men. Those girls don’t like me and are trying to get back with you two” I yell

“Desi, calm down. I don’t think…..” Antoine starts

“DON’T f*****g TELL ME TO CALM DOWN ANTOINE!”

“After everything that has happened are you going to question me again, or are you going to trust me this time?” I question

“We are not questioning you and we 100% trust you. We are not denying that your assessment is wrong, beautiful, but we didn’t see all of that. And whatever flirting they thought they were doing didn’t work because we didn’t even notice” Anthony says, smiling and coming to stand in front of me

“If you are not comfortable working with them, or you don’t like what they suggest, we can drop the contract and get new designers. I would suggest you think about the appointment with the designer though. You do need a dress, and we don’t have a lot of time” Antoine says

“Why would you think I haven’t thought of that already? Why would I need them to help me with anything when I have your mom, my cousins and the other ranked females? Let me let you in on the plans and then maybe you won’t think I need the help of your ex-girlfriends. Your mom says there are no specific traditions the pack has for the Luna ceremony, so I want it to be simple. I’ll get a nice simple dress, and I want you two to wear khaki’s and a white shirt. I already ordered the flowers I want. And I am using the caterers and bakers from the ball. The ceremony will be in the early afternoon, at 11am, then we will have an appetizer lunch for the guests and the pack. This will all be outside since it will be late September and the weather at that time of day will be fitting, but I have a backup in case it rains. I want the whole pack involved in the ceremony. That evening we will have a formal dinner with the guest packs. We are looking at about 200 people from the RSVP’s. I already ordered my dress for that and your accessories to match. We will be wearing the pack colors for that. Since you just wore your tuxes for the ball you shouldn’t need to be refitted. We are currently working on assigning rooms for all the guests. I have a dress fitting already scheduled. I truly don’t need their help!”

“Desi, we didn’t suggest it to say you didn’t know what you were doing. We were just trying to be helpful” Antoine says

“I know and it’s okay. I ask that you talk to me first before suggesting something in front of others, though. I think those girls are up to something, so I’ll do the dress fitting with their designer, but I want a full security check and dossier done. In regard to their help with designing, I will do it myself. You can cancel the contract. I did the suite by myself; I can do the office by myself. But I want it on record that I don’t trust those girls”

“Yes ma’am. I will have Ian do the security check and let them know we will take the appointment” Anthony says

“No, your mother will discuss the appointment with them. I want you two to have the least amount of contact with them as possible”

“Okay, not a problem”
