Chapter 76

Desiree's POV

My Luna ceremony is in two days. Tomorrow morning Evie and Evelyn are coming with their mates. Alpha Patrick is also coming. They will be here early tomorrow and I have made plans for the day. We will have breakfast in the private dining room so we can talk and get to know each other. Then the girls are going shopping and getting our nails done. Claudia, Ashley and my sister Gemma are also coming. I have included Cora, Patricia and Tricia in our group. Gemma is my sister from Nicholas. I met her when I visited Bloodmoon and we talk often. We are around the same age, and she is currently getting her degree in finance. She helps Kane with business deals for the pack and invests for him and other via online. The guys have their own plans. We will all meet up for dinner at the steakhouse restaurant within the pack.

I had been trying to finalize everything before the ceremony and I just remembered Edith and Edwina. I link the boys and their dad

“Have we made a decision about Edith and Edwin?”

“No, we are okay with waiting until after the ceremony” Antoine replies

“No, I want all of this done and over with. Finding and ending Herbert is my goal after the ceremony. I want that issue done before our wedding” I say

“I am going to check on mom, then I will meet you in your office to discuss what to do with them” I suggest

I go over to the hospital. Mama Nat is getting discharged home today. Warren is taking her back to their clan, and they will all be back for the ceremony. I’ll get to meet my younger siblings then. As I was walking to Mama Nat’s room, I see Dr Hall running to my mom’s room. I ran behind him and I see mom trying to sit up in bed

“MOM?” I yell surprised

“Luna, she just woke up. She is very disoriented and tried to fight the staff. Your dad got her calmed down” Dr Hall says

“Bug? What happened” she asks looking around

“I will explain everything. Let the doctors finish checking on you, then they will leave”

She agrees and settles back until they are done. They disconnect some of the machines and bring her water and tea. Dad and I talk to her and calmly explained what happened. She shows a lot of different emotions during our conversation; anger, sadness, regret and then more anger. My mom is overall a peaceful woman but was onboard with everything that happened when we went to the Eclipsed Moon. Dr Hall says she will stay here until the ceremony, and he will release her that morning. He wants to make sure there are no residual issues that may occur. Renatta and Warren come over to see us for a while before they leave. Neither of my mom’s seemed to have damage from the concussion or the coma. I am so happy they are okay.

I meet the twins in the office to discuss the design twins.

“If we want to get their punishment done and over with, I will schedule their execution for tomorrow”, Anthony says

“No other options, Anthony? There has just been so much deaths lately, and I feel it’s all my fault” I say

“No one is at fault besides the people involved. But no, they will die for their actions. They lied and tried to manipulate us, and I am tired of these trifling females. Then they join another alpha to hurt you. We killed him, we kill them too”

I don’t say anything and just look pensively out the window

“Desi, they blew up a building that not only you were in but our mom, your moms and your cousins. I know you are feeling torn about everything going on right now, but I agree with Anthony” Antoine says

He comes over to the couch and puts me in his lap

“Nothing that has happened has been your fault, and you should not feel bad for the actions of others” Antoine says

“It’s not that I feel bad for their actions, but I just feel I have complicated your lives since I got here” I say solemnly

“No Desi, you have improved our lives so much. We are better men, so, better Alpha’s because of you. My Luna, you bring out the best in us. The pack loves you and the few that have issues would have issues, no matter who was in your position. The Moon Goddess just knew we needed a strong woman to handle everything that was coming, that’s why she sent us you” Antoine says smiling

“A lot of the stuff coming to light is because of our past. That’s our fault. But because of you, we are weeding out the bad and making things better. We love you and everything will work out in the end. Nothing is your fault” Anthony says

“I have a suggestion. We let our wolves out before our guests come tonight. The next couple of days will be busy, and they have not spent time together in a while” I say

“Granite loves that idea. We have one meeting and a call from the council. We can go after lunch” Antoine says

“In regard to Edwina and Edith, I will support your decision for execution. You are right. Their actions caused great harm. Also, you warned them that this would lead to their death. You have to be consistent and follow-thru with your punishments. For Leonne, I think he deserves another chance. They used the bond to manipulate him. I think he should be given the opportunity to reject them and move forward”

“We can agree to that” they say

We spend the rest of the morning in the office working. I tell them about mom waking up and that Renatta and Warren went home today. Everyone will be present at the ceremony. We have lunch with the family. Trevor and Belinda will be going back to Bloodmoon with Claudia after the ceremony and staying until she has the baby. Cora and Zach went back with Renatta and Warren and will be back for the ceremony. She wanted to spend time with her family. We stopped by the hospital to check on mom and dad before heading towards the woods. We stripped and shifted

“Celestia, why do they look so much bigger? I know we mentioned this about Steel while at The Eclipsed Moon, but they are both bigger” I question

“I don’t know. The Goddesses did say we would get additional strength and power. Maybe they did too” she replies

“Something we need for this last fight?” I suggest

“Probably, but I am not complaining” she says with a grin

“Have fun” I say then go to the back of my mind and give them privacy

A few hours later, I was given back control, and she is one tired wolf. We get dressed and go to dinner. Our guests will be here in a few hours
