Chapter 72

Antoines’ POV

We pull up to the Eclipsed Moon pack gates. We are all wearing black. After we left the office, Desi conjured clothes for all the men. She put us all in black cargo pants, black long sleeve tees and military boots. Paulette conjured black leggings, black long sleeve V-neck tees, black boots and long black hooded sweaters for the girls. We make sure Cora feeds, because between her and Desi the level of anger over what happened to Renatta is all consuming. We at least want to curb her bloodlust, so she doesn’t drain everyone at Eclipsed Moon pack. The eleven of us took three SUVs and made the ride to the pack. We asked for him once and were told he was not available.

“By werewolf law, if someone comes to your pack requesting a meeting with your alpha, he must oblige. Now tell Alpha Teddy, the future ranked members of the Crescent Lake pack are here to see him” Anthony says to the guard

“Alpha Anthony, we have informed him that you are here, but he is refusing to come out” the guard replies

“My name is Desiree Stone. Tell your Alpha if he doesn’t get his sorry ass out here in the next 10 minutes, I’m coming in for him” Desiree says

“Luna Desiree, the Alpha says he would like to see you try” the guard responds about five minutes later

“I only want Alpha Teddy. I am not here to hurt anyone else” Desiree says

“Luna this can be seen as a declaration of war” the guard announces

“I am aware of that. Bring me a ranked member since your alpha is a chicken s**t”

Beta Colt and Gamma Simon appear at the gate with stunned faces. Just as the council shows up.

“Luna Desiree, Alpha Teddy is refusing to see any of you. Any further actions by you is an act of war” Beta Colt says

“Young Beta, the council has been presented with evidence that supports the claim that Alpha Teddy Turner, planned and implemented an attack with the goal of kidnapping the future Luna of Crescent Lake pack. Luna Desiree’s actions have the support of the council” Elder Edwards says

“Luna he is refusing you entry” Gamma Simon says

“Fine” is all Desiree says

Desiree starts to glow red, and her gold eyes are glowing. As she gets angrier with his response. Wind starts to blow erratically. She steps in front of the gates, her cousin’s step beside her. Together they rip the gate off its hinges and throw it into the woods. A guard runs at them and Cora tackles him, biting and killing him. An alarm sounds and more warriors run to the gate. Desiree uses her wind power to throw them to the sides, creating a path for her to walk into the pack. We all walk in, and more warriors come at us, they again throw them about using wind power. As we are walking to the packhouse more warriors come out, but they have weapons. We look up and all the girls disappear. Paulette comes back to us, stating she is putting a protective spell on us. We continue walking to the packhouse, Leticia and Sharon are guarding the door, Cora is at the bottom of the stairs, there’s blood on her lips so someone must have been stupid to test them and died for it. None of the warriors approach us as we walk to the packhouse. We figured Teddy told them to capture Desiree. BIG MISTAKE!!

Alpha Teddy’s POV

I got a link for the gate guards. The Crescent Lake’s future ranked members are at the gate for me. I refused to see them. Then they say Luna Desiree is requesting to see me. She won’t come to me alone. I know this, so I again refuse. They call my Beta and Gamma; I tell them in no uncertain terms will I be discussing anything with Desiree Maxwell. They tell me the council is here too, but I haven’t changed my mind. If they are here, that just gives her the authorization to kill me because they have evidence regarding what I did.

FUCK!!! I yell to myself right as the intruder alarm goes off. I inform my warriors that the goal is to capture Desiree and not to harm her. The next thing, I hear people screaming, and I run to the window. She looks up and all I see is her glowing red with glowing gold eyes. I see my warriors flying from side to side. I give authorization for the use of wolfsbane and tranquilizer darts. I hear a collective gasp and when I look back outside, the girls are gone.

“Hello Teddy” I turn around and see Desiree

“Desiree? What is this all about?” I ask her

“Don’t play stupid with me Teddy. You sent rogues to kidnap me!”

“That’s the craziest thing I have ever heard. Why would I do that?”

“Don’t know but I will find out”

She stalks up to me and grabs my arm. There is a whirling sensation and the next thing I know, I am at the front of my packhouse stumbling because my equilibrium is off, then I vomit. My soldiers are standing around us but unable to get close. Three other females walked to stand beside Desiree. I also see an elder and her mates standing among my warriors

“Why are you all standing there? Get her! Help me!” I command

“Oh, poor Alpha Teddy, that is not happening. The force field is in place. They can hear and see everything, but they can’t get through to you. It’s time your pack knew what kind of Alpha you really are” she growls at me, her voice mixed with her wolf.

Desiree’s POV

As he kneels on the ground before me, I just want to kill him. Though that would bring me satisfaction, and it is justified, it will not change future occurrences. And for what I want to do to truly be supported by the council, I need everyone to learn the truth

“Eclipsed Moon Pack I request your presence at the front of your packhouse. I promise you all no harm will come to you. My issue is with your Alpha and no other. My name is Desiree Maxwell Stone, I am the future Luna of Crescent Lake pack. I am here for justice due to crimes committed by your Alpha against me” I state in a booming voice

“I have done nothing wrong against you or anyone else” he screams

“Alpha Teddy Turner did you bring rogues onto your territory?”

“Yes, they didn’t want to be rogues anymore and requested to join my pack”

“Did they officially join the pack? Was there an initiation ceremony? Can they mindlink now?”

“Um. I was giving them a probationary period. To see if it’s a good fit” he replies smirking

“But how can you do that when they are not in the pack or involved with the members? I can understand you waiting to initiate them into the pack, but how can you tell they are a fit for your pack if they don’t mingle with the pack?”

He gives no answer

“Alpha Teddy Turner did you hire these rogues for a job?”

“No”

“Alpha Teddy Turner are you associated with Edwina and Edith Frost of Crescent Lake pack?”

“No”

“So, if I pull your phone records there will not be a call from either of them?”

“Wait…Wait, I do know them. I hired them to redecorate the packhouse”

“So, you have a current contract with them to redecorate. Will they say the same thing?”

No Answer

“Eclipsed Moon pack, your Alpha is a liar. And for this reason, I will be administering a truth serum. As you can see, I have given him multiple opportunities to come clean, but he refuses”

I freeze him to the spot then Paulette and Sharon hold his head back and give him the liquid. He tries to fight and spit out the liquid.

“Now that this is done, let’s try these questions again. Alpha, the rogues that were on your territory, were they hired for a job?”

“Yes” he says wide eyed

“What was the job they were hired to do?”

“To kidnap you” he says covering his mouth

“Who helped you with this plan?”

“Why did you want to kidnap me?”

“I made a deal with a warlock to kidnap you. He will take your powers and then erase your memory. I would then take you as my Luna” he says. Gasps are heard from his pack

“Alpha Teddy, why would you want me as your Luna?”

“Because you were my mate first. The Moon goddess made you for me, not them. You should be mine” he growls

“Alpha, tell all the nice people why we are no longer mates” I instructed

“I rejected you” he says in a whisper

“For those that did not hear; I will tell you the whole story. Your Alpha met me at the mate ball at Crescent Lake. At the time I did not have my wolf yet and my witch powers were hidden. To him, I was just human. He said he accepted me as his mate, so I agreed to the mating. He r***d me then rejected me”

“So, tell me why you would want me now Alpha Teddy?”

“Desiree, I was sorry as soon I found out that Tina lied about you. I realized what a horrible mistake I had made, and I tried to fix it. I do want you!”

“When you enacted the plan, were you aware that I had received second chance mates?”

“Yes”

“But you proceeded anyway. Before you were kicked out of Crescent Lake and the mating ball, you apologized and wanted to fix our bond. But what were you told?”

You brought rogues onto your land with no consideration for your pack members. You teamed up with a man who wants my powers. And by the way, the only way he can get my power is to kill me, so you never would have gotten me anyway. You joined forces with two women who also disrespected the bond by manipulating their fated mate because they wanted to be Lunas, and tried to take something that was not theirs. You sent rogues to kidnap me at my dress fitting for my Luna ceremony. Am I correct?” I surmise. Anger building and my glow growing

“Yes, but Desiree I wanted to be with you. I wanted my mate”

“Alpha Teddy, I find it all coincidental that when you thought I was a human, you r***d me and rejected me. You did not want me until you realized I had powers. You don’t want me for me, you want a powerful Luna for your pack”
