Stella had learned that Leonard’s ‘Quick Loan’ business was serious business. She was sure he was a loan shark but who would be stupid to say out loud in front of the mafia boss. She had watched him in a dark, mafia-like face, negotiating and intimidating debtors who were not paying on time. Saw that he didn’t take or listen to any excuses of the debtors. She secretly wondered how many he had killed because she saw that everyone was afraid of him, they were nervous and frightened at the name, Leonard Duncan.
She thanked God that her day had finished finally. She went to her mother’s instead of going to the apartment. It’s Friday so she wanted to help her mother at the restaurant.
