Diana Elliott is setting the dinner table when I get home. Nicko is busy playing with his toys. He dumps them and runs to me. I open my arms wide for him as he wraps his hands around my neck in a warm hug. "Uncle Jack!" He's a nine-year-old baby but he gives the best hugs. With everything going on, I've not been seeing Nicko a lot. Living a double life and late-night shifts have taken me away from him. When I'm home, he's at school. When he's home, I'm at work. When the two of us are finally home together, he's dead asleep. He takes my hand and walks me to the table. He takes the seat next to me as Diana pours some chicken soup into his bowl. "You have to stop being so busy or I will be mad at you." He smiles. "The way Mom is mad at you." Diana sits across from me and throws Nicko
