Petra finally relented, nodding and gesturing for Lyyana to sit in the seat next to her. Initially silent, Lyyana was pulled by Garret, forcing her to sit next to Petra who was driving the car.
Throughout the journey, Garret kept a tight grip on Lyyana's hand as if unwilling to be separated from her. Occasionally, Petra glanced using the corner of her eye, observing Garret's interaction with the unfamiliar woman he had encountered a few days ago.
Petra couldn't fathom how Garret, who was known for being difficult to be close to, suddenly became so clingy and obedient to Lyyana. What puzzled Petra even more was Garret calling Lyyana "mama." While Lyyana did resemble Garret's mother at a glance, Petra still found Garret's behavior strange.
