She was stuffing the last of her personal items into her duffle when the door to her quarters chimed. Sienna paused, wondering who it might be, then responded, “Door’s open!”
She was surprised to find Swa Tobiyasu standing on the other side. Seeing the woman made her curious to know why the lieutenant was here.
“May I come in?”
“Sure. Have a seat.” She continued to adjust her belongings inside the bag before sealing it up.
The scientist walked in, parking herself in the only chair in the tiny cabin. “I’m guessing you’re wondering why I’m here,” the woman remarked.
Sienna gave a one-shoulder shrug. “I figured you’d make one last-ditch effort to try and convince me not to take the mission.”
“That did occur to me,” Tobiyasu admitted. “But mostly because I’m worried for you.”
