"Aurora!" I called after her trying to keep my voice down but she kept going looking for her aunt.
A raucous laugh came from behind me I was surprised when I turned around to find my father. My jaw hardened at the sight of him -inebriated, a bottle of whiskey in his hand, his clothes . I was torn between going my mate and calming my dad down. When I turned to where I last saw her, she was no longer around. Annoyance crawling in me, I strode to where my father is trusting my guts that my mate knows what she's doing.
"It's over!" He bawled, stealing the crowd's attention as he gulped the contents of the bottle of whiskey.
