12 As the reversing of the paralysis traveled down his body, Sebastian bent his elbow, his wrist, and growled in frustration when his fingers remained numb and unresponsive. Dropping his head back onto the bed in angry annoyance, he shouted an expletive, as if the echoes off the concrete walls would somehow speed the process along. A knock sounded at his door. “Sebastian? Are you alright?” Sebastian blinked up at the celling, then propped himself on an elbow as he faced the vial on the bed next to him. Swinging his other arm towards Marshall’s gift, he cursed again as the glass tube shifted further away. The knock sounded a second time, then the door cracked open. “Sebastian? If everything is fine, tell me, and I’ll go.” Looking at the back of the door, then the vial, Sebastian said,
