"Charlotte^ Lily sat there for a moment, absorbing it all. Then, ever the optimist, she tried to sound reassuring. “Well, at least that proves he feels something. He got jealous, so that’s a good start, I guess.” “He wasn’t jealous,” I scoffed, crossing my arms. “And if he was, then he had no reason to be.” Lily gave me a dry look, raising an eyebrow. “What?” “He had every reason to be jealous,” she repeated, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. “What in the hell are you talking about? I’m so over people talking in riddles tonight.” “Kade obviously likes you. Has for years.” I couldn’t help it. I burst out laughing.
