Chapter 10:

(The next day: Monday)

Riley’s POV:

Today was Monday which means school. I woke up at 5:30 and started getting ready. I was in the shower when I heard crying. Oh, yeah Violet is looking after Clay. I sighed and continued showering. I finished showering and got dressed in some shorts and a crop top. I put my hair up in a high ponytail. I put some lip bum on and walked out of my room. I walked downstairs to see all the boys. I seen Xander holding the baby. “Where’s V?” I asked. “She’s in the shower getting ready for school.” Xander said. He was playing peekaboo with Clay. I smiled at the small child. I heard someone coming down the stairs. I turned around to see Violet walking down with her bag and phone and another bag she wore a crop top and some shorts. She walked towards Xander and Clay and she smiled at the baby. “Hey, munchkin.” She said. I smiled at the sight. Violet always loved babies and children. She would be a great mum one day. “So, where’s Clay going while where at school?” I asked. “His staying with my Aunt.” She said. “Wait… but your Aunt works in our school.” I say confused. “Exactly least his close to me and I can protect him, and my aunt only does paperwork and she’s already asked the principal and he said she could.” Violet said. I just nodded and sat down and ate breakfast. I looked over to see Violet feeding Clay his bottle. Once Clay finished she grabbed a burping towel and put it on her shoulder before burping him. Once he burped she placed him in a bouncer I didn’t even notice was there. She started eating her breakfast while watching him. After we all finished Asher washed our dishes. “Thanks Asher.” I said. He nodded. We were all ready for school. We were all leaving in a few minutes. Violet was setting her car up, so I held Clay. “Hey, Clay. I’m Riley and I think your gonna be the light to Violets life right now. She’ll protect you trust me with that.” I whispered to the baby. I looked over to see Violet finished putting the car seat in and stuff. She walked over and I passed her Clay she smiled and thanked me. Everyone started walking out. “Are we already to go?” Tyler asked. “Yep, lets go.” I said. Violet put Clay in his baby sit and closed the door and walked to the drivers seat. We all got into our cars and drove to school. We all drove safely. Once we got there we parked in our spots and got out. People stared at Violet. “Oh, look at that. The w***e has a child!” The girl from the first day said walking over. “Kirsten. I wouldn’t plus it’s not her child.” Zac said stepping in. I pushed past Kirsten as well as the others and walked towards the building that V’s Aunt works in. We walked through the door and Violet kissed Clay’s forehead and gave him to her aunt she also gave her his bag and told her some stuff before we all walked out.

Asher’s POV:

We were walking to our lockers and getting our stuff out when a group of people came walking over. “Where is he!” one of them said. “Where is who?” I asked. “The baby! Where is the baby!” the guy said again. I was confused why did they want Clay? In the corner of my eyes I seen the others walking up to us. V was running. “Get the f**k out of this school because I sure as hell know Tyron didn’t want you fuckers to cause a scene.” Violet said angrily. “And also tell Tyron he is a dead mother fucker!” She added on. They laughed at her last comment. “We will get that baby one way, or another so watch your back. Tyron always gets what he wants, and he wants his heir.” The same guy said. Violet looked pissed; she was squizzing her fist together ready to punch him. Xander quickly grabbed her and pulled her away to another room. The group of people left. I sighed. “We all need to protect Clay.” I whisper. Everyone nods. We all headed to class, when the bell rang. Home room wasn’t that fascinating. Violet was worrying big time about Clay. “Miss Jacobs, put your phone away now please.” The teacher said, “I’m sorry, but I can’t I need my phone on me at all times.” V said. The teacher glared at her. Violet didn’t care she just hid it out of the teachers view. The teacher rolled her eyes. We all tried to stop ourselves from laughing. After a few more minutes the bell rang indicating that home room is over and its time for 1st period. We all got up and meet with the other two. Derek and Riley. We all walked two our 1st class that is gym. We all walked towards the gym room. We walked in and went straight to the lockers. We all got changed into our gym cloths. We all walked out after getting changed. “Alright listen up. Today I’m going to assign you all in groups of two. And now you won’t be picking your partners, I will be. After I tell you who’s going with who I’ll tell you what where going to be doing.” The coach said, a few people groaned once he said that. “QUIET!” Coach yelled. Everyone shut up straight away. “Now, let’s start getting you guys in pairs.” Coach started saying names. “Asher and Milly. Zac and Corallin. Seth and Tierra. Taylor and Piper. Rider and Rosa. Mike and Vivian. Xander and Violet. Derek and Chloe. Brice and Riley.” Coach called. I looked over the people and seen a girl that was actually really pretty. “H…hi I’m M…Milly you must be Asher…” She spoke shyly.

Derek’s POV:

I’m paired up with a girl named Chloe. I looked around to see a girl walking towards me she had red/brown kind of hair. With pretty green eyes. “Hi, I’m Chloe and you must be Derek.” She said. “Hi, it’s nice to meet you Chloe.” I said, i gave her a small smile. “Alright, class. The person you were paired up with is your partner in not just this class, but also a few other classes.” The coach said. Well, looks like I’ll have to get to know this Chloe girl. Before Chloe or I could say some to each other a girl came walking over laughing at Chloe. “Derek if you want a way prettier partner I will be because you deserve some one pretty unlike Chloe. See you later handsome come find me if you want to have a pretty partner for the year.” The girl said. “That won’t be necessary.” I said. I hate girls like that. “It’s okay I can try and find another person to pair up with if you want a prettier partner.” Chloe said, while looking at the ground. I was shocked this girl was gorgeous way prettier then that other girl and she believed her nasty words. “You know I’m not like those guys that likes only beautiful girls. I like the personality that’s what matters the most to me and you are beautiful don’t ever listen to that whore.” I said truthfully. She smiled at me and nodded. “Thank you.” Chloe said. After that we talked and started to get to know each other. “Alright! Listen up. You and your partner will be given a sheet to complete today. TOGETHER!” Coach said. After that Chloe and I walked towards the others and we introduced our partners. After that we worked on the sheet. It was nice and stuff. We ended up finishing the sheet. We handed it in and had a quick shower and changed back into the cloths from before. I walked to were Chloe was and we talked until the bell rang. “I…I’ll see you later Derek.” Chloe said. “Yeah bye Chloe.” I said. “Someone’s got a crush.” Riley said while walking over. I just smiled at her. No point in hiding it with these guys. We walked to our next class which wasn’t that exciting. And soon enough it was lunch time. “You guys go I’ll meet you at the café down the road once I go get Clay.” Violet says. “I’ll go with you.” Xander says. Violet nodded and they both walked towards Violet’s Aunts room.

Xander’s POV:

Violet and I finally got to her Aunts room and we knocked and walked in. Violet hugged her Aunt before picking Clay up. “Hey, Munchkin did you behave?” Violet said with a big smile on her face. “You guys hurry up and go and have lunch. Stay safe and I love you.” Her aunt says we nodded, and I grabbed Clay’s baby bag and we both walked out. “Thanks, Xander.” Violet says. I just nodded. We got to V’s car and she buckled Clay in and we both got into the front. She drove off. “You know you would be a really good mum when your older you already act like a mother to Clay.” I say. She smiles at me. “Thanks, that means a lot.” V said. Once we got to the café, I grabbed Clay out while Violet got the changing mat out ready to change Clay. I laid him down and let V change him. “All done Munchkin all done.” She says. I grabbed the used diaper and threw it away while v carried Clay inside. The others were all waiting. “Pass me the baby.” Zac says. “Hell no.” Violet says while cuddling Clay closer. Zac pouted. “No fair.” He said. I just smirked at the sight. We ordered some food while Violet feed Clay his milk. Clay started getting sleepy. “Anyway, does anyone have any free periods today?” Seth asked. “I have 1 more class for the day and tomorrow I only have 2 classes.” Violet says. “I have the same times table as her.” I say. Everyone started saying what and when there free periods are. We all have at least one each day. After that we all finished up eating and since we already paid we walked towards the cars we came in. I got into V’s while she put Clay carefully in his seat. She jumped into the drivers seat. And we drove back to school. We took Clay back to V’s Aunts room and then to our lockers. We went to class a minute late, but luckily the teacher wasn’t there. We did most of the work until we packed up and waited for the bell. Once the bell rang we finally got up and ran to our lockers. “I’m going to go get Clay I’ll meet you at home.” Violet says. I nodded and we both went separate ways. I got into the car and drove back to the house. I walked towards the kitchen and boiled the jug and grabbed to coffee cups. “If I didn’t know any better brother that either you knocked a girl up or mum and dad had another child.” A voice said from behind me. I turned around to see my older brother. I smirked at him. “Neither.” I said. He looked confused. “I didn’t get a girl knocked up. But yes, a baby does live here and will for a while.” I said. “What’s that suppose to mean?” He asked. “Well, you know how dad told you about those kids my age parents in hiding and kids split up?” I ask. He nods. “Well, one of the kids Violet her friend had a baby and the dad so happen to be Tyron and is abusive nothing surprising there, but her friend came and asked Violet to look after the baby.” I say. He nods. Just as the jug was boiled the door opened and crying was heard. Minutes later Violet walked in with Clay crying. “Hi.” She said. “Here let me help you.” I say while walking over. I grabbed the bag and put it down on the table. “What’s wrong with him?” I ask. “I don’t know. I’m gonna go and put the TV on and change him and let him play around for a bit.” She said. I nodded and she walked away. “So, you weren’t kidding when you said baby.” Jax my older brother said, “Nope. I wasn’t. Anyway, how have you been?” I asked him. “Pretty good. Tom is somewhere in this house by the way.” Jax said. “Shit.” I said before running towards the way Violet went. I got there just in time to see Violet holding Clay really closely and pointing a gun at Tom and Tom doing the same. “Put the guns down both of you.” I say. They both huff and lower there guns. “Violet, this is my older brother Tom he is a lawyer by day and assassin by night with my other brother Jax who is in the kitchen.” I say.
