ARTH’S HEART SKIPPED a beat, unprovoked.
She scowled but said nothing. Just earlier she told him that she had faith in him which also intensified her emotions. Aside from that, there was something in the way he said those words that made her heart start pounding rapidly against her ribcage.
Trusting Jaeden’s input, she nodded. Jaeden scooped her from the ground, then ran towards the direction Arth directed to him. In a matter of less than five minutes, the two of them reached the Wfauzhle Chapel. Before they could even enter, Jaeden sensed a lot of people gathered in that certain area and upon stealthy entering the place, his senses were right—numerous people were seated on a bench.
