Jaeden was rigorous.
The path to where the portal is was rocky as hell. Arth was having a hard time keeping up with the two. Jaeden offered to carry her until they reached the final destination but Arth felt like she was being much of a nuisance.
Yet, Jaeden did not mind as he scooped her from her feet and then bolted to a cave. The Scratcher that Jaeden talked to, was kind enough to lay out a perfect description and guide him in order to find the portal. Jaeden is a Vampire Prince and capable of borrowing the device which Scratchers use whenever they harvest humans in the Mortal Realm.
