Alora's POV "Where are we going?" I whispered as I blindly followed Conrad's back in the middle of what appeared to be an antique hallway. The dimly-lit ceiling and the abstract paintings that greeted us from wall to wall are sending my gut to spiral in a creepy feeling that I couldn't put exactly into words. "Conrad?" I furrowed my eyebrows when he didn't speak. The hallway seems to last forever and the more we went deeper, the more the Alpha in front of me grew silent. This isn't like him at all. "Oh sweetie, don't be nervous. I'm sure you'll be fine." One of his relatives, a female wearing a tube ball gown with a faux fur vest, tapped me on the shoulder and flashed me a sympathetic smile. Now that I think about it, why are we heading to the unknown with almost all of his relatives?
