My heart is in my throat as I see her kiss Austin. And then I see him place his hand on her waist.
He’s not pushing her away.
The pain in my chest is so sharp that I let out a silent gasp.
Austin lifts his head almost instantly, and his eyes meet mine.
I just stare at him for a moment while Raven smiles smugly, resting her hand on his chest possessively.
My wolf is shuddering in pain.
“Come on, Seline.” Lacy grabs my hand and pulls me into the opposite direction. She hasn’t met Austin, but she’s sharp enough to put two and two together. “Come on!”
I follow like a blind person, uncomprehending, only too aware of how my wolf is writhing in pain.
