I’m still trying to digest his words. His lust for one woman drove him to murder Austin’s parents.
“You should have heard her scream when I killed her mate,” Loyd laughs. “Pathetic, really. I didn’t want to kill her outright. The plan was to give her to Daston, but then my pack got a little too excited and started running amok. So I got rid of her as well.”
“I think we’ll have to do a little cleansing again,” Daston says in irritation. “Maybe this time, get rid of the older, more experienced males and keep the young ones alive. They can be trained to follow orders.” He sighs in exasperation now. “All that work, getting rid of those two candidates, framing this b***h…all of it was useless.”
I’m not exactly shocked by his admission to killing the two females, but I am furious.
