I needed some time alone. The past couple of hours had been chaotic, to say the very least. I had died, come back to life, shifted into a wolf, fought fifty soldiers, and somehow lived through all of that to now be standing in another pack’s encampment. If I had a time machine, I would have traveled to the past when I used to live in Chicago. I would try to tell Chicago Alice that Rapid Falls Alice had lived a whole new flavor of life.
