CHAPTER 12
Ian and Colby made their way to Councilman Eagan's camp and heard Ricky's mom as she
yelled, "Don't you ma'am me, Councilman. Tell me where our Ian is or I swear I will shift and skewer you in the behind!"
Ian knew that tone and he hurried to see the action.
Colby grunted as he held Ian back, hissing, "Would you slow down. I'm still not healed all the way."
Ian shuffled Mary to the other hip as he urged Colby to move, "Come on, Colby. Gladys is getting warmed up and trust me, you don't want to miss this."
Councilman Eagan was leaning back as far as he could as Gladys hovered over him. He actually looked nervous as he said, "Ladies, I have no idea why you think I would take Ian. I..."
Snarling, Gladys said, "You people tried to steal our babies once before, why wouldn't we
