*Eden* The sun is only just beginning to chase away the fog as he slips me out of his lodgings. Thankfully, the carriage is still waiting for us. How wonderful it is that he has friends with the means to demand of their servants inconvenience. As he assists me inside and I settle on the bench, I fight not to have regrets. When his arm comes around me, I bury my face in the nook of his shoulder, inhaling the wondrous fragrance that is him. And then I remember his gift. “Oh, I forgot the necklace.
