I had not expected our first stop after arriving in the city to be the residence of the Alpha and Luna of Greywind. Eden, Jamie, and I stand in the entrance hallway, with our small trunk behind us, waiting while the butler announces us.
“It seems we should have at least attempted to find lodgings first,” Eden mumbles.
I suspect Eden is a bit cross because from the moment we’d departed from our home, Jamie had left no doubt that he was the one in charge of our little expedition.
