IMMINENT DANGER

Arriving back home feeling at ease and at peace was the luxury that I never thought I would have in my marriage to Gabriel. It was peaceful, beautiful and every other good thing you can think of. I walked hand in hand with my husband and the butler, whose name was Bernard, came to welcome us with a smile. The two maids, Katie and Lisa were also there to receive us with a smile. I looked up at Gabriel and I was fulfilled. I let go of his hand and began walking towards my room.

“Where do you think you are going to princess?”

“My room,I replied him”

“ I think I need to teach you a lesson, hmm, my love? Have you forgotten what I said during our honeymoon? Your heart, soul and body belong to me which means wherever I go, you go as well.”

“Are you saying I should come to your room?”

“Of course baby, your things have already been moved, what's left is you then the room will be complete.”

I was ecstatic. I couldn't believe Gabriel Feragoza is finally acknowledging me as his wife. “I love you Gabriel”

He looked at me and replied “ I love you too my princess. Now let's go to our room, let me teach you a lesson for trying to leave me and sleep elsewhere”. And he winked, picked me up bridal style, took me to his room, No–our room and we had the best orgasmic s*x of our lives.

We woke up the next morning in each other's arms. My hair was spiralled all over Gabriel's sweaty abs, his hand was on my tummy while the other was giving me a nice relaxing massage. I guess that's what you wake up to when a billionaire is in love with you.

I stood up from bed to go freshen up and it was then I realised I couldn't walk because I was sore. I guess last night was a little more intense than others. I winced in pain and tried to stand again but I couldn't. O felt Gabriel get up from the bed and come close to me.

“Princess are you ok? I may have been a little rough last night. I am sorry Princess”.

“It's ok babe, it was worth every pain I feel right now and I wouldn't mind doing it all over again I said with a mischievous smile and a wink.

“Oh no princess we wouldn't want you being unprepared for more times to come now do we? We have to let you heal first”.

And with that I pulled him close to me with my hands in his hair which was already rough from sleep and kissed him.

We went into the shower and got cleaned up and went downstairs for breakfast. After breakfast, we decided to spend the rest of the morning playing video games and just catching up. Later In the evening we went for dinner at some sort of creme brulé place which I found out that Gabriel rented out the whole place just for me. I was in love with this man.

We went back to the mansion and while we parked inside I took the courage to ask Gabriel who the statue of the lady was. “That is my mother. After she passed we had a fire at our old mansion and most of her belongings got burnt. I decided to make a statue of our favourite picture together so that I will not for what she looks like”. Follow me he said. And he took me into the room which he caught me in the other day. “This is an exact replica of how my mom's room used to look like and I contacted all her designers to make an exact replica of clothes that she had. I decided to make one just like it because that's how I handle my own grief. I really miss her and the other day when I said you remind me of her, I really meant it, the way you stand up for yourself, how you like to dress up and look good, how you take smelling nice like a job. It's just like how she used to do and I believe you were sent to me by God in order to keep my heart alive and remind me of her”. I looked a him, my husband, I pulled him close to me and said to him “ I am here for you my love, and I promise to stick to you till the end. I love you so much Gabriel”

“ I love you too princess and I can't imagine life without you”.

The rest of the day passed in a blur and the next day we woke up got dressed and went to work with Gabriel insisting on dropping me off. I entered the office in a very good mood and started the days work, I went for lunch and returned to my desk while I was working, two men in suits walked into my office and sat right in front of my desk.

I kept my cool and said hello. They kept staring at me and I wouldn't lie they were beginning to scare me. “Reine Bellarosa it's high time you know your place and leave Gabriel Feragoza alone” one of them said. I was confused and asked “ Excuse me”?

The second who seemed more calm finally spoke and said “ you have become a torn in our company's flesh and also a hindrance to our boss. We just want to give you a clear warning, you don't know what's in it for you pumpkin. You either leave Gabriel Feragoza alone or face the wrath of the board”. I couldn't even put a word in due to the shock and I watched them walk away. The rest of my work day was filled with thoughts on what transpired in my office. Those men seemed really powerful. What business could Gabriel possibly have with them and how am I involved?. I decided Gabriel was the only person capable of giving me answers and I will make sure to get answers from him when I got home.

I arrived home and Gabriel had not returned, I tried calling him but his cellphone Was switched off. Could those men have gotten to him? Is he ok? I was panicking and amidst my panic Gabriel walks into the house and walks straight to me.

“Princess are you ok. I am so sorry I hope you are not hurt? Did they touch you? I swear to God if they did they will loose everything they ever worked for”. I stood still as he checked every hair on my body and gave me a protective hug.

“No Gabriel I wasn't hurt but who were those men? What do they want? And what do they mean by face the wrath of the board?”

“Look princess, it's ok I will handle them ok. There is nothing to worry about. From today henceforth you will move around with bodyguards everywhere you go. You will go nowhere with out my knowledge and you will come home before dark”.

“But Gabriel you just said there is nothing to worry about why are you trying to imprison me? I demand to know what is happening”.

Gabriel looked at me in the eye and said “I can bare anything in life, I don't mind losing everything but the one thing I can't stand to lose is you princess. I want you safe at any cost and I will go to any lengths to keep it that way”. I was about to argue with Gabriel but I suddenly felt light headed, I felt nauseous and had to quickly run to the restroom. I threw up and I felt really weak. I knew the burrito I had for lunch tasted funny.

“Are you ok my love? You look pale. Do we need to go to the hospital?

“No it's fine Gabriel, it's the burrito I had this afternoon. It tasted funny. I guess it was spoiled.

“I need you to go upstairs now. Since you came from work you haven't rested, you need to shower and rest ok”. We went upstairs into our room, we showered together with Gabriel giving me little massages in-between every body scrub. It was really relaxing. We came out of the shower and he got me dressed and we both went to bed. Holding each other like we never want to let go and letting the exhaustion of the day wear out with sleep.

The next morning was pretty calm. I woke up still feeling sick and still throwing up. Gabriel was nowhere to be found. I managed to get out of bed and brush my teeth and walked downstairs. I met Gabriel making breakfast and the maids were nowhere to be seen.

“ Where are the maids?”

“ Oh I gave them the rest of the month off. I need to take care of you myself”.

“ Thank you so much babe. I love you”

“ I love you too princess” and he kissed me on the forehead.

We had breakfast together and Gabriel did the dishes while I went to take a bath. Few minutes later I was downstairs watching a movie and Gabriel came to join me. He kept on drawing circles on my arm and keeping me warm. Our Netflix and chill turned out to be a little steamy and I couldn't complain. I mean what is Netflix and chill without the chill right. We spent the day “chilling” in every corner of our house even on the kitchen counter tops and it was beautiful although I still felt a little sick.

I got to know more about Gabriel and I feel more and more in love with him. I resumed work the next day with bodyguards and what you would consider a mini convoy. It was too much of an attention but I couldn't argue with Gabriel. He wanted me safe and there was no winning with him. I arrived at the office and contracts from the previous day were piled up on my desk. I noticed I have calls from dad which I choose to ignore and focus on my work. Dad could easily walk into the office and see me but I know he was just giving me time to calm down. He has never been one to badger me or pressurise me and I am grateful for that. I love dad so much. Was I happy that he made me marry Gabriel?— No. Do I know the reason why he made me marry him?— No. Am I happy that I married Gabriel?—yes I am. Because I couldn't imagine life without him.

I decided to step out myself lunch today and when I went downstairs I realised that the burrito place was shut down. I couldn't phantom what happened so I ordered pizza for lunch. I am a lover of junk food but I put in all the work at the gym as well.

After lunch I went into the office and asked Sophie what had happened to the burrito place. Sophie has been a loyal staff and also a good friend of mine.

“ Hey soph, what happened to the burrito place downstairs?

“Didn't you know reine? Mr Feragoza shut the place down claiming they tried to poison his wife. OMG! He is such a protective husband reine. You must really be so lucky”. She kept on teasing me till I walked into my office with a wide grin on my face.

I continued my work till I heard a knock on my door. “Come in”. I looked up and there stood Gabriel. “ Hey babe. What are you doing here? I wasn't expecting you”

“I know princess, but I just thought to pick you up so you would be safe”

“But I already have bodyguards babe”

“Yeah I know that but no one can protect you like I do so that's why I came to get you”

“But it's not even time to go home yet”

“Look at your watch cutie”

“Oh my God! It's already 7. I didn't even realise. Everyone must have gone already”

I hurriedly packed up for the day and walked out hand in hand with my husband.

We entered the car and I remembered the burrito place and he replied saying “No restaurant poisons my wife and goes Scott free”. I fell in love with this man again and I just can't help it.

We arrived home and I went to change into something more comfortable. Gabriel joined me in the room, we ordered dinner and slept. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling nauseous. I ran to the bathroom and immediately Gabriel woke up and came in with me. He looked so worried, even though I assured him I was ok he insisted that he would call the doctor thinking it was a flu.

“Gabriel, it's midnight how would you call a doctor by this time?”

“Princess that's my duty ok. Let it be”

I guess that was the perk of being a billionaire. Everyone was at your beck and call. Thirty minutes later the doctor came in and he was so casual with Gabriel like they were friends.

“Hey man how is it going”?

“ I am good. My wife is really sick and I need you to check her. Don't touch her just check her and leave”

“Listen here Gaby, I am a doctor I only came here cos I am your cousin. I am not some magician. I can only check her If I touch her you fool” and with that Gabriel laughed and the doctor began his examination.

He asked a few questions and later he looked at me and Gabriel and said

“ Congratulations guys you are expecting a mini either of you”.

“What do you mean by that Steven?”

“She is pregnant dude. That honeymoon must have really paid off”. He looked at me with a smile and dropped the prescriptions on the couch and said

“ My cousin is a complete goner thanks to you”. He pecked me on the forehead and walked out after giving Gabriel a playful pat on the shoulder.

Gabriel came to me on the couch and gave me a long and deep kiss. “ Thank you so much princess for this little gift. I promise to be the best dad and husband from now on”. I was filled with joy and I began to cry. “ You are already the best husband and I know you will be the best dad too and I cannot wait to meet our little angel too”. At this point I remembered my dad and I made a mental note to call him when the sun rises. I was excited for the next nine months and I couldn't wait to see how it plays out. It's about to be a bumpy and sweet ride for me and of course my lovely husband.
