I sat there with my mouth hanging open for what felt like hours. I turned from Alistair to Anne and back to Alistair several times as my brain processed what I had just been told. Donald snorted into a half-emptied glass. “I think he"s in shock.” “Well, wouldn"t you be?” Louise said. “I mean, to find something like that out at dinner?” I looked at Louise.
