The home had fallen into that relative quiet that comes sometime after lunch, when many of the residents had retired to their rooms to study their Bibles or watch talk shows. The few residents still about congregated in the social rooms around small tables, playing dominos and checkers. Making my way back to Hall B with a stack of letters and Alistair"s newspaper, I tried to keep an eye out for Cassidy, who had disappeared after our morning conversation with a promise to return during the afternoon.
