THIRTY-FIVE "Mitchell Falls are coming up straight ahead," the pilot said, startling Gaia out of her daydream. The monotonous landscape of red rock and scrubby trees was pierced by a new, greenish river. "Mitchell River." Of course it was. She wondered what the pilot would say if she told him she didn't care, and she wanted to go back to the resort. He probably wouldn't even try to talk her out of it. With a, "yes, ma'am," he'd turn around right away. But Jay...he'd be disappointed, and he'd say so. Loudly, most likely.
