THIRTY Oh God. Make it stop. But the bright sunlight lanced her scrunched-shut eyelids as some pesky miner hammered incessantly at the inside of Gaia's head. A high-pitched chime stabbed through her eardrums and into her brain. "Go to hell," she groaned, rolling out of bed. Ow, that only made her head hurt worse. She staggered to the bathroom for her robe before she dragged her aching body to the door. Who could it possibly be at this ungodly hour?
