Elizabeth's jewelry box hit the floor with a sharp crash.
"Sarah, have you completely lost your mind?"
I blinked at her, all innocence.
"Elizabeth, no need to get so worked up. You arranged Lily for Sean in the name of the White family. I brought Linda to Mark for the same reason. One man only goes so far. The father and the son together double the output, don't they?"
Elizabeth was trembling with fury.
She jabbed a finger at Linda, her voice rising, "Such kind of woman has no place anywhere near the White family!"
Linda immediately shifted closer to Mark, with
slightly red-rimmed eyes.
"Mr. White, I'm sorry if I've overstepped. I only came because Sarah said how much the White family values its bloodline. I never meant to offend Mrs. White."
She looked heartbreakingly wronged.
