5. Run

Gasp! Language? No idea. Meaning? No idea. Just the strength behind those words. It breaks me. They have such boiling force that it knocks me off and my legs instantaneously give away. His grips vanishes. My knees meets the ground, shaking my world. He tumbles back on door behind him. My palms hit the cemented floor, all breath leaving my lungs. Crash! On instinct, I look up, my eyes widening as I find him in a far much worse situation than me. The loud bang was his back thudding against the door with so much strength that he's currently doubled over from the bang, his hands are clutching his knees, breaths coming out in waves. His face twisting in a grimace like he's in unbearable pain. What happened just now? Something is not right. My mind. My body. My soul. Something's leaving me. It's becoming harder to breath. I have to go. I don't want answers or whatever the hell it is. I just know one thing. I. Have. To. Go. Clutching my chest I notice he's doing the same thing. As if stopping something from coming out. Yet his situation looks much worse. My bent form suddenly jerks up and my body—not me—but my body immediately moves to support him. Not forgetting he is still a stranger and my reflex towards helping a stranger is absolutely not in my DNA. As soon as my hands touch his shoulders, he dodges me to the side without even looking like he knew I was coming for him, and then falls forward with a thud on all four with his dark hair hiding away his eyes. His grey suit strains across his wide back, reminding me of something. Something wild. A primal creature. A wolf. Yes. He reminds me of a large, dark wolf. No! He's a human. Stop behaving like an ingrate Luke. He's a human and he needs my help. But I have to go. Without helping? I look at his bent body in the floor, then turn at the door. I am going to die, aren't I? Feeling a burning pain in my knees, I clutch one hand at my chest and slid towards him. His body is shaking as I near him. Crouching down in his right side to be able to catch his hidden face, I lift up a shivering hand to his shoulder. But don't get the chance to make contact. Whip! His unexpected turn at such frightening speed catches me off guard. He whip towards me like an animal. Snarling face. Bared, poking teeth. Big, rageful golden eyes. I crash to the ground. My mind swims in denial and disbelief, like an angry cyclone moving round and round in a constant loop. I sit frozen in the ground while my popping eyes take in the new him like he suddenly has a personality transfromation. He watches me like a hawk. Silent and lethal. My ever killing curiosity completely jumps out of the window, leaving me to deal with the consequences. And I feel fear clawing at my concise. On instinct, I slid away on my back,  trying to get away. As soon as he saw my sudden movement, his already golden eyes darken even more so than before, and he shoots towards me with an immeasurable speed that leaves me with no choice but to roll away on my side, away from him. Only to find out that he's right behind me. Before I can manage get up from my laying position on the ground, his arm whips out to catch me around my waist, clutching me tightly as my back press against his chest. He's burning like lava, his breath fans across my neck causing zaps to shoot from my spine to my stomach...... and I become silent as a mouse. I don't know for exactly how long we stayed that way, but it feels like centuries. Shutting my eyes tightly behind the slightly crooked glasses, I do not even dare to breath. Then I hear it. His smooth, perfect voice. Just one word. "Run." I'm so shocked that I still as a rock. Not moving an inch. Something is slipping away. On my zero reaction, his soft breath turned frantic. With anger. Or something else. I do not freaking know. However, he soon let me find out. "I SAID RUN!" Out come the abrupt words with such roaring intensity I feel them to my very bones. Hence, run is what I did. I pushed away from his death grip that doesn't allow me to leave, contrasting his words from just mere seconds ago. But I don't stop. I struggle and struggle and struggle, and at the end they finally break out—my sobs. Suddenly his grip vanishes, I immediately make a run for the door, prying it open, I run out. I run and run and run. Not caring about my bag. Not bothering for the degree I waited for so long. My feet thump against the glistening, tiled floor of the hallway as I run for the nearest exit. The backdoor. "Luke!" Upon hearing my name being called out, my feet move even faster than before, reaching the door in no time, I slam it open as the wood turns one-eighty and hits the wall. The cold air enter my nose, filling my lungs with sharp iciness, not providing any help. My complicated emotions clog my senses, my head feels like its going to shatter as I clutch my hoodied head and run. Not breaking in my stride even for a second I just run. It's all I can think about. Run. All because he asked me to. Why I am listening to him? I don't know. I don't know anything. No! No. No. No! Continuously shaking my head, I keep running. Not caring about what I'm doing. Not knowing how long I run. Not bothering about where I am heading off too. No idea where I am now. I just know one thing. Run. My breathing slows down and my mind about to shut down. However, before the darkness can completely clutch me in its arms I finally realise the emotion I kept feeling when that stranger with golden eyes spoke those words in that mysterious language to me. Pain.
