“Roy my dear boy, you look more handsome than John today," She hugged him too.

“My beautiful granny only speaks the truth, but am I more handsome only today?" he gave a fake angry look and asked innocently.

"Well, you already know the answer," John interrupted him and gave a proud look of his handsomeness.

"Really?" Roy put his left hand around granny's neck.

"Do you know granny? I want to tell you an unromantic love story to you. Do you want to hear more about it?" he looked at John purposely with a teasing look to annoy him.

But he was silently scratching his forehead like he did not hear anything.

"Really, yes, please. I want to know. I could not hear the love story of my grandchildren. At least I am happy to hear about others' stories," she said sadly and dramatically and sighed deeply.

"Sure granny, we will sit in a place and talk about it," he took her hands and led her to a table.

“you must give some tips to your friend, as I think you have more experience with girls,” she told Roy and kit him on his arm playfully.

“sure, granny, but I do not think he needs my advice anymore,” he tried to threaten John with his words.

“Why? Does he already have a girlfriend?" She turned towards John and started to throw question bombs.

"When did you start to go out with her? Who is she? Is she beautiful? When are you going to get married? Have you planned to have children? Is it a boy or a girl?” his grandmother was super excited to know more and asked him many questions nonstop.

“granny, he is just trying to pull my leg as usual. Do not take his words seriously,” John said annoyingly with a deadly glare towards Roy.

“I forgot that you and a robot are no different when it comes to romance,” she said with a disappointed look.

She looked at Roy and said, “Roy, do not give me false hope. We can not change this robot as we wish. But you must get a girlfriend quickly and make your friend feel regret for not dating anyone.”

“sure granny, I can do it for you,” Roy shared a high five with granny and both of them laughed at John together sarcastically.

John was done with his friend and his granny.

“Let's go, granny, it is time to welcome some important guests," he tried to escape from their irritating drama. He gently caught her hand and took her to the center of the hall. He took the microphone from a table there gave it to her the microphone.

His grandmother gave him an understanding look and took it.

“Good evening everyone, may I have all of your attention for a few minutes, please. First of all, thank you so much to everyone for joining us at this party. Most of you may wonder why I organized this party in a short period. You will get the answer during the press meet. Now please enjoy the party," she finished her speech and handed over the microphone to John.

"Good evening everyone, please wait until the press meet, thank you for your presence," John delivered a few words, and three of them went to talk with some guests.

A round of applause echoed in the hall for a few minutes.

John and Granny were talking with some of the guests.

Maddy came behind them and hugged her grandmother tightly.

“Granny, I missed you so much,” she said cheerfully and happily.

She was on cloud nine when she heard that her granny was coming to the party and was eagerly waiting for this day.

She loved her granny more than her parents and vice versa as she had raised three of them after their parents' death.

“oh sweaty, I missed you too,” she hugged her granddaughter back Emotionally and happily.

“This time, you must stay with us for at least one month,” Maddy commanded her granny like a small child.

“Do not worry, I will stay with you longer than you expect,” she patted her head affectionately and gazed with a wicked expression at John.

“wow, I have so many things to share with you. Now I will get you a drink,” she went to the bar so excitedly.

Grandmother looked at her and told John, “She had not changed even a little bit, she is always childish and innocent. I do not know when she is going to realize that she has grown up and should marry someone soon,” she told him and gave a worried look.

“come on granny, she is still too young to talk about marriage,” he replied.

“Young? She is already twenty-three years old, but she has never dated anyone. Both of you are very poor in love and romance. I am very ashamed to tell others that you guys are my grandparents. I and your grandfather started to date when I was fifteen years old and got married at twenty-two years old. Everybody is asking if your grandchildren are going to marry or not," she said and gave an irritated look.

"Please, do not make me feel like if your parents were alive, you would have married anyone now and had many children," she looked at John with a guilty look with mixed emotions.

John could not listen to her nonsense talk anymore. He hugged her tightly and tried to comfort her.

"Please granny, do not think like that ever. We never felt the absence of our parents after their death. You were always there for us from our childhood and will always be there with us for your entire life. You are our only family. I promise that I will never upset you from now onwards," he stroked her head gently and said a few words to cheer up her mood.

His granny knew that he was trying to make her happy with some sweet words and said, “I know you well. Do not try to give me false hope as usual. I

will be more upset if it would not happen.” She made a sad face too.

“This time, I am telling you the truth only,” John tried to give her some hint but she was clueless.

"Then you must find a girlfriend for you soon. If you find yourself one only, both Roy and Maddy will get the courage and desire to settle in life," she freed herself from the hug and told him in a low volume as she seemed to be tired.

John was first irritated because she again tried to talk about his love life.

John hated it when someone talk about love marriage and settling in life. But every time those people reminded him of someone that has entered his heart so deeply for a long time. If it was some others, he would have yelled at them now, but he can not do it to his granny. he just nodded his head and told, " granny I have got a present for you. I will get it for you from my car." John excused himself and went outside with Roy.

"you are trying so hard to escape from her. I just want to know why. You can just tell her that you love someone already. She will be more than happy to hear it. She is dying to hear it from you," Roy could not guess the reason and expressed his opinion to John.

"First I want to confirm if I am the only one who is in love or if the feeling is mutual. Then only I will introduce her to my grandmother. She will be hurt if her grandson is rejected by someone," he said and looked very sad.

"Don't worry, you will not be rejected. What is the situation of others if the most handsome CEO in this world," he patted John's shoulder and tried to encourage him?

John just nodded and both of them went outside.

“Granny, I want to introduce my best friend to you,” Maddy who came with a drink for her grandmother offered it to her.

“thank you, my child, Sure I am eager to meet your friend,” her grandmother took a sip and told her.

“Wait here, I will be right back,” Maddy got excited and told her granny.

She immediately went to fetch Kristi.

She saw her chatting with other friends in the distance.

She went near them and asked Kristi to come with her.

“Hello guys sorry to interrupt, please excuse us for a moment,” she pulled her friend from the crowd and brought her to her grandmother's table.

“Granny, this is my school friend, Kristi. Do you remember her? She used to visit you whenever you come here,” Maddy briefly introduced her friend to her grandmother.

Her grandmother looked at her carefully and finally remembered her, “yeah you guys have grown up fast and changed a lot. You look more beautiful,” she smiled at Kristi and gave a compliment.

“Thank you, granny,” Kristi blushed.

She was about to tell something, but her phone vibrated and disturbed their conversation.

It was a call from her father, but she didn't take it and put it back.

It rang for the second time also. she didn't pick up it this time also.

"It must be some emergency call. please answer it, I won't mind it," granny realized her hesitancy and told her.

"Thank you, granny," Kristi thought for a moment but went away to attend the call because she just wanted to obey granny's words.

"Maddy, she is so beautiful. I hope that I can get a granddaughter-in-law like her," granny told Maddy cheerfully after Kristi left the place.

"Really granny? Do you like her?" Maddy was happy to hear it.

Granny nodded her head as yes.

"Kristi has feelings for John, but you know your grandson very well," she frowned her face and said sarcastically.

"But I will never force him to do something that he doesn't like. only he should decide for his life and it applies to you also. sometimes, the people who we think as bad ones and our enemy are the ones who care more than the people who always behave sweetly toward us," she patted Maddy's head.
