"Ahh," she closed her eyes and caught his neck tightly.

He looked at her panicked face and was admiring her.

She slowly opened her eyes and locked them with his.

Both of them forgot their surrounding and was just staring at each other.

"Ahem ahem," they heard a cough sound suddenly.

Both f them turned their heads to the sound and saw John who was just blank as usual.

Both of them realized their situation and stood up.

"I'm sorry sir, i's my mistake," Michal said and left the place immediately.

"Let's go to have our lunch now. You can continue your romance later," John said and both of them left the office finally.

In the restaurant

Jack was waiting for Judy at a table.

"Are you here for a long time?" Judy occupied the next seat and asked him.

"No Judy. I just arrived before five minutes," Jack said.

He looked at her face and was confused at first.

"What happened to your face, Judy? Are you alright?" He asked her.

"I'm," she was startled for a moment.

"I could see that you have put on some make-up to cover something because you don't wear makeup usually," Jack said.

"I have some bruises, so I just wanted to cover them," Judy touched her cheek and said.

"What happened? Did someone slap you?" Jack asked her angrily.

"It's just" Judy couldn't lie or tell the truth at the same time.

"Please tell me what happened if you think of me as your best friend?" Jack said.

Judy narrated the incident except for the fact that she cooked for John.

"How dare she? Her name is Kristi, right?" Jack bit his tooth in anger.

"Just forget it, Jack. She is going to be Mrs. Brand in the future. We shouldn't get on their nerves," Judy said.

"Judy? There is not any wrong with you. I think she is simply jealous of you. You are more beautiful and intelligent than her. She might have thought that you would snatch Mr. John from her. She would have felt insecure," Jack said directly.

"I don't care about their lives, Jack. I just want to work in peace in that company. You know well that it's rare to get a good job nowadays," Judy said.

"Well, you can always work in my restaurant. My offer is always open for you," Jack said with a smile.

"Thank you, I will think about it," Judy said with a smile.

"Really? Then I can taste your cooking daily," he said enthusiastically.

"Yeah, actually I'm thinking about working as a chef after the final round finished. Cooking has become my passion. All thanks to you only. I love it nowadays. If I had to resign my job, I will work as a chef," Judy said.

"Resign?" Jack asked her with confusion.

"Yeah, I m not sure about my job after today's incident," Judy said with the same energy.

"I will be really happy if I could be near you every day," Jack said.

Judy looked at him and the environment became a little bit awkward.

"Sorry, Jack for the trouble. I tried this new dish last night. I wanted to present it to you," she said to change the topic.

"It's okay Judy. It's my pleasure to help you with the competition. You are one of my best students, you know" Jack said.

"Thank you. Let's taste the food now," she presented the food very professionally.

"Wow Judy, it's really good. Good job," he said proudly.

"Really? You a tent lying, right?" Judy asked with doubt.

"Never, how can I lie to you? You can trust me," he said.

"Then, let's order some more food and have them also. It's not fair to not order anything in a new restaurant," Judy said.

Jack just nodded his head and both of them ordered some food.

Then he noticed the extra lunch box who wasn't been opened yet.

"What's that?" He asked her.

"It's for my friend. I packed it for my assistant," Judy said and smiled awkwardly.

"Ohh, then why did you take it with you?" He asked.

"She was a little bit busy, so I had to take it with me. I will give it later," she said.

Jack didn't seem to be convinced, but he just wants to pry on this matter more.

"Thank God I didn't say the truth that it was for John," she thought in her mind and sighed.

At the same time, Roy crossed their table.

"Miss. Brown, is it you?" He asked as he met her accidentally there.

"Mr. Roy, what a coincidence?" She stood up.

"It's okay, Miss. Brown. It's not our company. You don't have to stand up like this. By the way are you here for a date? Am I interrupting you and your boyfriend?" He asked her.

"No sir, he is my friend. You are not interrupting us. You can join our table if you don't mind?" Judy said.

"Yeah, our president? Who else?" He asked her.

Jack was just watching both of them. He could easily understand the drama of Roy and John. Some thoughts engrossed in his mind and a wicked smile grinned on his lips.

"Hey John here," Roy raised his hand and signaled him.

John who was busy on his phone came to their table and occupied the seat next to Judy.

He looked at her face and his heart blended when he noticed the bruise on her face. She had put on some makeup to cover it, but it was still visible as she might have some of it in hurry.

"Hello, Mr. Brand. I'm Jack, Judy's best friend" Jack interrupted his gaze.

John looked at him irritatingly but he didn't show it on his face.

He just nodded his head.

"Hello, I'm Roy vice president of R.K group of companies," Roy introduced himself.

"I know both of you. Judy had already mentioned her bosses to me," Jack said and flashed a smile toward Judy.

Judy felt something different in that smile.

She looked at him confused.

He signaled her mobile phone to her.

She looked at it and understood the situation.

A smile crept on her face automatically.

John who was witnessing their silent conversation couldn't control his jealousy anymore.

"Miss. Brown I heard that you have brought some lunch for me. Where is my lunch box? I want to taste it," John asked her directly.

The rest three were taken back a little bit by his sudden but direct flirt.

"How did he know that I have cooked for him? Did he know about that incident? Will he fire me for that? After all, she is his future wife," she thought in her mind.

"Sir," she looked at Jack and felt guilty for her lie.

"Ohh did you cook for him also Judy? That's good. You want to return his favor for helping you to do shopping yesterday," Jack said and gave a short smile.

"Yeah, It's true sir, thank you so much for helping me yesterday. I have cooked something for my friends. Do you want to taste it if you don't mind?" She asked him.

"Why not? Sure," John said and looked at Jack with an irritating stare.

Judy unboxed the meal and pushed it towards John.

"Order anything you want to have. Today's bill is on me," Jack said.

Judy looked at him suspiciously but he signaled her something.

"Yeah sir, the bill is on me and Jack," she said.

"It's okay, I have invested in some shares of this restaurant. The bill is nothing because you are dining with me," John said and looked at Judy proudly.

"Mr. Brand is very generous to his employees and their families," Jack said with a grin.

"Family?" Roy asked suspiciously.

"Yeah, I and Judy are like family members," Jack said and looked at John.

Judy felt the awkwardness and tried to make it normal.

"Jack, please order something for us. I will just use the washroom. Excuse me," she left the table to check her make-up.

She looked at the mirror and realized that her makeup is a little bit too much as Jack could easily find out.

"Did John know about that situation? Oh God, why does this happen to me only?" She took the wet tissue and tried to fix her makeup.

"Who are you trying to hide it too?" She heard a voice suddenly from her back.

Her pupils dilated in shock as she looked at the mirror in front of her.

A masculine body was covering her tiny body from behind. He was too close to her body like there was no space between them.

She couldn't utter a byword and was silently gulping her saliva. She was too nervous to open her mouth.

"Are you hiding it from me? Don't you think that I will know what happened in front of my office?" He looked at her image in the mirror and asked in a husky voice.

"Is he irritated? Am I really in trouble?" Judy thought.

John brought his cheek near her face and attached it to hers. She was startled for a moment.

"Is it happening or is it my dream?" She thought.

Her heart began to pound against her rib cage and frightened her to explore anytime.

"Are you hurt?" His voice was the most gentle one that she heard in her lifetime.

He closed his eyes and rested his chin on her shoulder eventually.

When he didn't get any reply, he opened his eyes and looked at her image again.

Her eyes were also closed and she looked very relaxed. John couldn't take his eyes away from her.

"I'm sorry," he said in her ear and it made goosebumps in her entire body.

She quickly opened her eyes and jumped a little bit away from him.

"I'm sorry sir for what happened in the office," she said awkwardly.

"I already know what happened there. You don't have to explain anything. I'm just concerned," he couldn't finish his words as Judy interrupted him.

She thought that she was concerned about Kristi and said, " I know sir that I shouldn't have slapped her. I should ask sorry for not controlling my anger in front of our clients," Judy said and left the place immediately.

In the table

Judy took her seat and began to dog into her food.

John also came behind her and occupied his seat.

"Judy, taste this fish. This is one of my favorite dishes" Jack said and tried to feed Judy.

Judy looked at him awkwardly but she accepted his food.

"Miss. Brown your cooking is extraordinary. I am damn sure that you will be the champion," Roy said happily.

"Thank you, Mr. Roy," she said.

"Come on John, have some food. It's fantastic," he said.

John took a spoon full and tasted it.

"It's fantastic and your cooking is always good," he said and looked at Jack.

"Always? Have you ever tasted her dishes before, Mr. Brand?" Jack asked him.

"Yeah, I have tasted her cooking before. She had cooked for my grandma twice before," he said with a smile.

"Ahem," Judy who was eating her food was shocked when she heard his reply.

She had been thinking that only grandma knew about it. She never expected him to know every detail.

And he had tasted her dishes too.

Jack also looked at Judy suspiciously.

"Judy, are you also falling in love with him without your knowledge?" He felt very sad about the latest news.
