John gave him a deadly glare, but he didn’t care about it as he was too focused on the scenery in front of them.

“she seems to be not interested,” he told smiling at his friend. John turned towards Judy.

They saw her moving away and it made John a little happy.

But when he saw what happened next, he wasn’t happy about it.

“Roy, you said that She doesn’t have a boyfriend. Then, who is that ugly man?”

“oh, someone is burning with jealousy. Did you see him?” Roy giggled.

It made John angrier. This time, Roy caught that glare and stopped his funny jokes.

“He is the chef that Judy goes to cooking class,”

“Why didn’t you tell such an important thing earlier? You are the worst friend ever,” he complained.

“I don’t think that it was an important one as long as Judy isn’t interested in him,” Roy tried to justify his action.

“Judy isn’t interested in him, but look at how he looks at her. He surely has feelings for her,”

“Okay relax, let’s go to the party. I don’t know what kind of bomb your grandma is going to throw at you,” Roy was confident that there will be something shockingly waiting for them as whenever John's grandma visit them, she used to scare them with their marriages.

“By the way, send me Mark's photo. I don’t know how he looks, John reminded him.

In the party hall,

The guests were having drinks and talking with each other. Maddy was wearing a sky blue color evening gown with heavy stonework. She was wearing a pair of peacock-shaped earrings matching her outfit and a pair of black color high heels.

She was talking with her friends. All of her friends were praising her dress and the talent of the designer.

“Oh my God Maddy, you are the real princess. Who designed this dress for you?” everyone was eager to know about her outfit.

Maddy was about to reply but a voice interrupted her.

“Do you want me to design for you also?” a voice came from their back. They turned back and wondered who that might be. Their jaws widened when they saw a gorgeous girl in a velvet red color gown walk in their direction. She got the attention of the entire crowd. Everybody in that hall was memorized by her glamour and started to admire her. Her long dress revealed a part of her long beautiful and sexy legs slightly from the left side. She walked confidently toward them and her steps echoed in that room competing with the sound of a giant clock on the wall. Her big eyes with thick eyeliner made her sharp eyes shine more. Her lips welcomed others for a lip lock. Her long hair made her look simple and elegant.

She directly came to Judy and embraced her tightly.

“Oh baby, I missed you so much. Finally, I have finished my studies and come back to you,” That girl hugged Maddy.

“Really? Did you come back for me? I know you more than yourself” Maddy whispered in her friend’s ear while giggling and hugging her back tightly.

“I know you can read my mind, but I missed you,” she said freeing herself and smiling.

Maddy nodded her head as yes and turned to her friends.

“Hey girls, this is my childhood friend, Kristi. She was studying in America and had just returned,” she introduced her to her other friends.

“Hi, Kristi,” all of Maddy's friends introduced themselves and shared some handshakes with Kristi.

“Wow, you look so pretty. Both of you have great fashion sense,” one of her friends complimented them happily.

“Of course, my friend is very talented. She is the one who designed both our dresses personally. She had studied fashion designing in America and was one of the most famous designers there,” Maddy said proudly of her friend.

Kristi was very happy to hear it and smiled at Maddy.

For a few minutes, they were talking and laughed.

Kristi scanned the area and tried to spot someone. Maddy noticed it and smiled I know who you are searching for.

“He is not here now, but he will be here at any moment,” Maddy sipped her drink and whispered to her friend.

Kristi was first startled when she heard Maddy's voice but she was embarrassed as her best friend caught her red-handed.

Maddy said as she had read her friend's mind, "do not need to feel embarrassed because I am your best friend." She comforted her friend. Kristi nodded her head in agreement and continued to search.

When they were talking, the place become deadly silent unexpectedly. All turned their heads towards the entrance.

Two handsome guys were standing there. The president of R.k group of companies and the Vice President were standing at the door giving their romantic killer looks to the crowd. Both of them were wearing dark blue color suits but with different and unique designs. The reporters were clicking photos nonstop.

The girls in the crowd started to gossip among themselves about their body structure and manly look. They wondered if those two guys had girlfriends and were ready to be a mistress.

Maddy waved her hand towards them and flashed a smile cutely. She went to them and hugged both of them at the same time. Even though Roy was not her sibling, she used to treat him as her brother. Both of them hugged her back. She stood between them and held their arms from both sides.

The trio walked inside and made their way toward Kristi and Maddy's other friends. Kristi was standing like a statue without any emotions. Her heart was racing fast when she saw him in person after five years. she had not seen him for five years. The last time, when she visited him was his birthday.

“He looks more handsome than last time. He is hotter day by day like the wine that gets aged and stronger,” she thought in her mind.

“Surprise,” Maddy looked at John excitedly and almost shouted, but John just gave a cold gaze to Kristi and turned to Maddy.

John looked at Kristi once and turned to Maddy.

“Why is she here? Did you invite her?” he said and maintained the same attitude.

Kristi did not expect this attitude from him, but she could not react even though she was hurt from inside.

“John, why are you so rude to my friend? She came back, especially for you,” Maddy pulled John near her and whispered into his ear. John was like this always and she was okay at other times, but She was upset with his brother's attitude towards her best friend. And John and Kristi were not strangers. They have known each other for many years.

“Roy, let’s go to the study room,” John left the place quickly with Roy.

After they left, that place seemed a little bit awkward. Maddy did not like his attitude even a bit. He insulted her best friend in front of the guests and her other friends.

Her friends understood the situation and excused themselves from both oF them.

Maddy looked at Kristi with an apologetic look.

Do not feel sad, you know well about his attitude. But I am sure that your love can change him completely,” Maddy tried to console her friend.

Kristi just gave a weak smile and continued to mingle with other guests.

“Where are you escaping?” A voice echoed in John's ears.

When both John and Roy tried to leave that place, a voice stopped them suddenly.

“You can not even try to escape more,” Roy whispered into his friend's ear.

They turned back towards the voice.

An old woman was standing there with her hands folded across.

“Granny, how are you?” John bent a little bit as she was very shorter than him and hugged her.

“Do not call me granny, I am not that old as you think,” she hit his shoulder playfully and hugged him back with a smile.

“Sorry, I will not repeat it,” he held her shoulders and John kissed her forehead. He offered her his arm to hold.

“You should be doing this to your girlfriend. When are you going to introduce her to me?” she asked curiously.

“Granny, I have you, then why do I need a new girlfriend?” he winked at her and smiled like a child.

“You can not always escape like this, you know” she warned him as usual.

“Granny, how are you?” Roy hugged her from another side. He was trying to help John to divert Grandmother's attention from John to him. Their grandmother was not stupid enough to understand her grandparents, but she did not want to argue about the topic more as both of them does not seem interested. She always respected every decision in their lives.
