“How is that possible that there was no valid proof of two accidents? Dig more about both accidents. Something is odd. I need full information when I meet you next time or you will be dead as a virgin with my hands, ” John said playfully and trapped his neck with his hand.

“Yes boss, I will do it,” he acted like a scared servant.

Unexpectedly, the door was opened by someone. Both of them looked at the door and were shocked to find Judy.

Their eyes got widened in shock and they looked at each other and then Judy again.

John quickly released Roy from his grip and returned to the cold attitude president.

“Don’t you have any manners? Why did you come without permission?” he tried hard to sound strict, even though he could not succeed.

“Sorry sir, but I just….” She couldn’t finish as she didn’t know how to express her feelings with her words.

John looked at her face which was facing the floor with a mixed feeling. He couldn’t resist her gloomy face.

“Why do you look pale? Are you alright?” Roy tried to break the ice for them.

“I’m fine sir, I just wanted to know whether Mr. Brand is ok or not,” she closed her eyes in nervousness and spoke fast.

Both John and Roy were shocked as they didn’t expect it from her.

There was a brief silence before Roy broke it.

“He is fine, Miss. Judy. You don’t have to worry,” Roy replied with an assuring smile.

“Okay sir,” she was about to leave but the pieces on the floor caught her attention.

John saw her trying to figure out the pieces and tried to divert her.

“Miss. Judy, I need the presentation for the next client meeting to be on my table tomorrow in the morning,”

“Sure sir,” he looked at them and smiled even though both of them looked strange.

She left the room immediately.

Both of them sighed in relief and fell on the sofa at the same time. They looked at each other face to face for a few seconds and broke into laughter. They couldn’t control their emotions and hi-fived each other.

“Wait, am I afraid? Mr. John brand, the C.E.O of the R.K group of companies is afraid of an employee from his company?” he couldn’t believe himself.

“Come on, don’t fool yourself. You look funny to me now. She is the girl whom you love. Even though you are the president of our country, you would be afraid of your wife. Get used to it, my dear buddy, future husband of Judy,” Roy tried to pull his friend's leg.

“I know we’ll, you don’t have to repeat,” he went to his seat and sat down.

John was playing with his pen and thinking about Judy and her expression just before. A big smile crept on his lips and reached his ears. It made his face more reddish and more lively.

Roy noticed the smile and was very happy for his friend.

“I am damn sure, you are in love,” he got up from the sofa and came face to face with John.

“I could see a real smile on your face finally after a long time. You were thinking about Judy just before, right?” Roy asked him expecting a yes.

John felt like he was caught red-handed by his best friend, but he didn’t refuse.

“What about her? Do you think that she also has feelings for me?” he was curious. John tried to find the answer from Roy.

“I don’t know,” Roy said with a disappointed look.

John was disheartened by his reply but Roy continued, “but she cares for you. There is some connection between both of you. Otherwise, why should she come to your office and check how you are doing exactly when you felt discomfort? Of course, there is some telepathy working between both of you.” he gave a hint.

“John, you are in love for the first time. The great C.E.O, Mr. John Brand who hated girls is finally in love with a girl. I mean, it’s the most important part of your life. you should always listen to your heart more than your brain. Your heart only knows what you want,” he encouraged his friend.

“But you know well, it’s very complicated for me,” he looked worried.

“I know well, but I trust your decisions. You can do it, bro. I’m always with you,”

John looked at Roy with and worried proud look. Suddenly, one thought clicked in his mind.

“Wait, what if she had seen the photo? Will she hate me?” John asked him like an afraid child.

“No way, she couldn’t identify the photo because you have already torn it. I thought that I am going to die by looking at your cold heart through your face, but God is great. He has listened to my prayer and made you fall in love, ” he said confidently.

“I hope so,” John felt relieved.

After some more talk, Roy left the room.

John looked like battling with his brain and heart. He glanced at the torn pieces on the floor. There was a torn piece with her eyes only. He kneeled on the floor and took it in his hand. He caressed it softly with his hand and admired them.

“You are in love, John,” he told himself. He collected all the pieces and put them on the table. He rearranged them carefully and glued them together, but his face frowned when he saw David and how tightly he was hugging Judy from behind.

“Can I replace him in your heart?” he asked looking at the photo. Then, he took away pieces of David in the photo and threw them into the dustbin.

He clued the rest carefully on a paper. He took it in his hand and admired it with love. He kissed her face and put it into the drawer.

His mobile peeped for once.

He looked at the mobile phone screen, his face gave a frown expression again.

It was a message from Maddy. She reminded him about the dinner party in their home.

John had no other way than to attend it because his grandma is going to attend it. There will be a small dinner party with his close friends and family members and then a press meeting.

In Judy's cabin

She was thinking about what happened in John's room.

“What was that on the floor? Why did they behave strangely?” she was asking herself but she couldn’t find the answer.

Her phone sound disturbed her.

It was a message from Mark. He was supposed to pick up her from work. He asked her to call Hari and go home by taxi as he has to attend a press meeting.

She replied to him not to worry and continued her work. She tried to call Hari, but she could not reach him. So, she sent him a message if he can pick up her from work.

After she finished her file work, she left the office. When she reached the entrance, she got a call from Hari.

“Judy, I might not be able to pick up you because I’m out of the station now. Sorry, Mark had informed me that he would pick up you,” he sounded guilty.

“It’s okay Hari, you are not at fault. So, don’t blame yourself. I will manage to get a taxi here,” she tried to comfort him.

“Okay, but you should text me after you reached home,” he told her.

“Sure, drive slow and take care of yourself,” Judy cut the call and looked at the road to stop a taxi.

For five minutes, she couldn’t find a taxi. A car stopped in front of her. She first thought that some stranger guy is trying to flirt with her. He walked a few steps and tried to stop a taxi.

The car also moved to her place and stopped. She pretended not to care about it. Soon the window was opened.

“Judy, why are standing here?” she heard a voice calling her name. She turned to the car. There was Jack in the car.

“Hello chef, what a surprise?” she doesn’t expect him.

“It’s already late. Please get inside, I will give you a lift,” he requested.

She was silent and looked at the road if there is any sign of a taxi.

“Come on, I won’t kidnap you. I am talking for your safety,” he got down from the car and opened the passenger seat door for her.

She couldn’t refuse him anymore and got into the car. Jack closed the door and put on his seatbelt. He noticed that Judy still hadn’t fastened her seat belt.

He came close to her and tried to do it for her, Judy who was thinking about something moved a little bit away from him and tried to do it herself.

“Thank you,” she tried to reduce the awkwardness around them.

He just smiled and started the car.

John and Roy who were just about to pass the gate noticed Judy standing alone.

“Why is she standing still there? She usually goes in a taxi and sometimes with her cousin,” he told John with a meaningful look.

“Mark will be at the party hall now,” John winked at his friend.

“Oh, you are trying to get close to her cousin. I have underestimated you, but you are very cunning,” Roy was impressed. John nodded his head in disbelief.

“Driver, go near that lady,” John instructed his driver.

“Wow, someone is going to give a lift to a girl for the first time. I’m the first one who is going to witness it,” he said proudly.

Before their car moved near her, they saw another luxurious car stop in front of her.

“Who is that? Her boyfriend?” Roy focused on the scenery
