Episode 66

“Hello madam, is this your home?” Judy asked her politely. She is the same granny that was a VIP guest in Jack's restaurant. Judy was very happy to see her again.

“Yes, my dear. What a surprise! How did you come here? I didn’t mean to offend but I mean in a good way?” the elder woman said.

“It's okay madam, I understand. I know Maddy well, she is my friend. She was a little upset and drank too much. So I took her here safely,” Judy didn’t say the entire truth because she didn’t want to make that old woman worry too much.

Granny looked at Maddy who was lying on the sofa. Her face turned gloomy as she came near to her.

She gently stroked her hair and planted a kiss on her forehead.

“Madam, are you alright?” Judy asked with concern.

Granny wiped her tears slowly and looked at Judy.

“I’m fine, dear. By the way, how do you know Maddy? Are you guys close to each other?” she asked Judy.

“Not that close, Madam but we have met a few times,” Judy said the truth.

“oh I see,” she noticed that Judy was standing the whole time and said, “ please have a seat dear”.

“No madam, it’s okay. I’m getting late. I have to leave now,” she said.

“It's already late. I will ask our driver to send you home,” she said with concern.

“Thank you, madam, but it’s okay. I have already got my lift,” she said.

“Then I don’t have to worry about it. Thank you so much dear for bringing Maddy home safely,” she thanked them again.

“You are welcome and good night madam,” she said.

Judy left the hall.

Granny was looking at her until she disappeared from her sight. Suddenly she thought of something and went to the security room. She focused on the CCTV footage.

“Who is going to give her a lift?” she thought and looked at the screen.

She saw Mark hugging her and thought, “boyfriend?”

Her face become gloomy and she returned to her bed.

On the way to the gate, she looked around the place. She didn’t notice anything before, as she was focused only on Maddy. It was a large palace-like kingdom. There was a large garden with a lot of trees around the house.

“Wow, it’s beautiful and elegant. Of course, Mr. John is the king of this large kingdom,” she thought.

When she thought about John, her face became reddish as a tomato and blushed more.

“What’s going on my little princess? Is there anything I didn’t know?” he asked with a mischievous smile when she noticed Judy blushed.

Judy acted starring him angrily and went inside.

“She said that she will get a sister-in-law soon, but why do I feel like I’m going to get a brother-in-law sooner?” he looked at the palace and went to start the car.

Next round in the cooking competition

Good morning everybody, I welcome all of you once again for the second round of this cooking talent competition.

Today we have a different concept for our contestants. I welcome one of our special guests to announce more about this round. When I mention him, he is one of the most talented chefs who is known worldwide. Let’s welcome our special guest, Mr. Jack Fernando. Judy was surprised when she heard the name.

“Is it Jack?” she thought. She turned to the entrance and was surprised when she saw Jack.

The ground welcomed him with a grand applause.

He waved his hands to the crowd and looked at the contestants. Finally, his eyes landed on Judy.

Judy looked at him with surprise.

“I request our special guest to say a few words to motivate our contestants,” the host said.

Jack took the mike and said, “Hello everyone. I hope all the contestants have prepared themselves enough for this round. We should love cooking otherwise we can’t cook tasty foods because cooking is like an art. Imagine yourself as an artist and do your best,” he said and looked at Judy again.

“All the very best,” he said with a smile.

The crowd clapped again and the competition started.

Judy cooked the same dish she had already cooked in Jack's restaurant. She didn’t look as nervous in the previous round. She did her job confidently. Jack was very happy to see her smile.

Next day

In Mark's office

Mark was doing some file work when someone knocked on his door.

“yes come in,” he said and continued his work.

A middle-aged woman came inside and said, “Mark, are you free now?” she asked in a flirting tone.

Mark lifted his head to see who she is and said, Good morning madam. I am working on the file you handed over to me yesterday. I will finish it within today,” he stood up.

“Good morning, Mark. Why are you so polite to me? I have already said to you to call me Bella. I will be happier if you call me by name,” she said with a pout.

“oh, God. She had started her flirt in the morning. What a headache! How I’m going to work today. Please, God, help me,” he thought.

She noticed that and asked, “what are you thinking?”

Mark looked at her and said, “nothing madam. How can I help you?” -| asked politely.

She sighed once heavily and said, “I’m going to take an interview with a famous actress. We have scheduled our meeting in a hotel. So I need your help for that interview.”

“What kind of help do you need madam?” he asked.

I need you to interview her,” she said calmly.

“Ahh?” He asked with a shocking expression.

“The host we had already appointed resigned from the job suddenly. I can’t rely on others other than you. I request you, please,” she said and looked at him with a pleading look.

He couldn’t deny the request anymore and nodded his head as yes.

“Thank you so much, I will be waiting for you in the Car Park. Please be there within ten minutes,” she said happily and went from there.

Mark sighed heavily and fell on his chair.

Both of them reached their destination.

Mark opened the door for Bella like a gentleman. She looked very happy and enjoyed the service.

They went inside and talked with the manager of the actress. Very quickly the interview started.

Even though Mark didn’t have any experience before, he handled the interview very well. That actress was impressed by his attitude.

After the interview finished, Bella came to them and said, “Thank you madam for your corporation. We hope to work together again in the future.

She just smiled and turned to Mark.

“You did a very good job. Are you new to ‘News time', she asked.

“Yes, madam,” he answered politely and looked at Bella.

“Any more work madam?” he asked.

“Why are you in hurry?” it’s almost lunchtime. Let’s have lunch and leave then,” she said and looked at That actress.

“Do you have any plan for your lunch?” she asked.

She nodded as no and looked at Mark.

“I’m free now. If you don’t mind, may I join you? I just want to spend some more time with you and get to know about you, I mean about your works more,” she said.

Bella looked at her suspiciously and was about to tell them some reason to skip the lunch and go away from there, but Mark interrupted before she started and said, yes madam. Sure, it’s our pleasure. I need your autograph also,” he said.

Mark nodded his head happily.

The three of them went to the restaurant in the hotel and occupied a table. Mark excused himself and went to the washroom. When he was inside, he heard a voice.

“s**t, my plan didn’t succeed because of an i***t yesterday? You must have done what I have told you. You are useless. I paid enough money to molest Maddy on her way home. I had mixed some drugs in her drink and made a good chance for you, but what have you done? You have missed it and now you are telling some excuses,” she yelled.

“Who is that? Maddy? Is she talking about our Maddy? He thought.

“wait, our Maddy? Why am I thinking like that?” he scratched his head and listened more carefully.

“Listen, now we are in GHJ hotel. We are having our lunch. I will send her to a room where you are waiting for them. You must do what I have said to you. I will pay extra money for you,” she said.

“I don’t know who is that girl, but I think I should help her from this witch,” he thought and decided to follow her.

He followed her without her knowledge and was shocked when she saw Her talking with Maddy.

“Oh God, how cheap that girl is going to do her friend,” he thought.

“I should help her,” he thought.

Thankfully, their table was near Maddy's table.

Bella waved her hand from their table to him and asked him to come quickly.

He silently went and occupied his chair.

He was having lunch silently and checking Maddy's table at a particular time interval often.

Bella noticed it and asked, “Mark are you alright? Why do you look very pale?”

Mark came to the present and said, “I’m perfectly alright,” he said and continued his work.

That actress noticed him looking in a direction and turned towards his focus. She saw a group of girls enjoying lunch. She looked at Mark again and asked, “is your girlfriend at that table? Are you worried that she will get upset that you had lunch with us?”

Mark almost spilled his food on his plate, “ No madam. I don’t have any girlfriend,” he said.

“Really? How handsome you are! But you are telling me that you don’t have a girlfriend. Then do I have a chance to hit on you?” she asked eagerly.

Both Bella and Mark were shocked when they heard her words.

Mark didn’t say anything. He barely smiled and continued to have his lunch. But he didn’t fail to observe Maddy and her friends.

In Mady's table

Maddy was about to take a spoon full of her dish. One of her friends stopped her and said, “Maddy, your boy is there. Look at him,” she said and showed her Towards Mark's table. Maddy eagerly looked in the direction her friend showed.

“He is having his lunch with two girls. Who are they?” the same friend said.

“Don’t you recognize one girl? She is one of the most famous actresses, Daisy. About another woman, I don’t know. She looks older than him. She might be his colleague. He is very famous among female colleagues. You saw it in the bar last time,” another friend said.

“What happened last time? How did I miss it?” Alisa asked while talking a spoon full of her dish.

“Did you forget what I said a few hours before? It’s him who caused trouble to Maddy at the bar,” One of Maddy's friends narrated the story again.

Maddy was continuously looking at him without blinking.

There was something stuck in Mark's mouth. Bells tried to clear it with a tissue. When Maddy saw it, she got angry without any reason.

“Maddy, why do you look so angry? What happened?” Alisa asked.

“Nothing, I lost my appetite. I am going now. Please leave me alone for some time,” she said and quickly moved away.

Mark saw it and noticed a man following her.

“Excuse me, madam, I suddenly got very important work. I should leave me immediately. Please forgive me,” he didn’t wait for their reply and quickly ran away after wiping his mouth with a tissue.

Both of them looked at each other with shocking and confused expressions.

Mark followed both Maddy and that hoody man. After Maddy started his car, that man also started his car. Three cars were going behind one by one on the highway. Suddenly the signal turned red just after Maddy and that mysterious person's car passed it. Mark was stuck in the light signal.

“What the hell?” he was frustrated.

After a minute, the green light lit. He quickly sped up his car and started following it. At a point, he stopped at a junction. He couldn’t find those two cars and he didn’t know which way they went. He randomly turned aside.

On the way, he saw two cars were stopped by the road. He stopped his car and got off from it. He could remember that those were the two cars he followed.

He scanned the area thoroughly, but he couldn’t find anyone. It was a deserted area. There was a little forest near the road. He went inside it and searched her. He had gone far away from the road.

“Ahh,” he heard a voice.

“Maddy? “ he ran quickly as fast as he can towards the sound.

When he reached the place, he saw an old building.

“The sound should be from inside,” he thought and ran inside. There was a room locked from inside.

“help me, please,” he heard her trembling voice.

He quickly broke the door and went inside.

There was a man forcefully trying to hug her. When he saw it, he got angry and ran towards him. He pulled him tightly clutching his shirt and punched him hard. He was punching him continuously with much anger. When Maddy saw him punching, she got afraid that he will die and tried to stop him.

“Mark, please stop. It’s enough. If you don’t stop he will die,” she almost shouted out of her lung.

After that only he stopped beating that rascal. He looked at her with the same look full of anger on him. She got terrified when she saw his face like that.

"Why? Why does he get so angry? Is he always like this? Does he always do beyond his ability to help others or Am I special to him? She thought for a moment.

She automatically went near him and held his both shoulders.

He moved Mark away from that rascal and hugged him immediately.

In this time gap, that person ran away.

Mark was shocked when Maddy hugged him.

He was standing motionless for a few seconds. She started to weep in his chest like a baby. For a few minutes, they were standing like that.

When Maddy realized the situation, she freed herself from the embrace and looked here and there by embarrassment.

She wiped her tears and said, "let's go from here."

Mark was amazed by her words. "Can't she say just thanks? How ego does she have?" He thought and followed her. They went downstairs, but they saw that it was already dark. That house was also at the center of the forest.

"Wait," Mark said.

Maddy turned to him and wondered what is that.

"It's not safe to go out at this time. Let's stay here tonight and leave in the morning," he said.

"What? Are you serious? How can I stay with you alone for a night?" She asked.

"Excuse me, don't forget that I'm the one who rescued you from that rascal. It's okay if you didn't thank me, but you are accusing me of something that's beyond my imagination," he said and gave a frustrated look.

She was silently looking at him.

She was adoring his every move while he was talking angrily. A smile crept to her lips.

"Hello, did you hear what I said? Am I looking like a joker to you? Why are you smiling at me? He asked her and gave a confused look.

Maddy came out of the trance after he clicked his fingers in front of her face.

She looked away and tried to cover up the embarrassment. Suddenly a strong breeze view and made her body shiver. She touched her arms by each other and hugged herself.

Mark noticed that and looked at the outfit he was wearing. He took it off and put it on gently around her.

Maddy who felt the sudden touch looked at him with love.

For a few minutes, they were standing very close and their eyes were locked whole the time. Suddenly they heard some sound. She got afraid and hugged him tightly.

That sound was frightening her very much.

He smiled at her childishness.

" you were roaring like a lioness, but you are not that much brave. You are panicking for the sound of a small bird now," he said in a mocking tone.

She opened her eyes and looked at him angrily.

He was memorized by her sharp eyes. He scanned her face carefully. Her lips were very pinkish and lovely. They looked sweet. Her face was glowing very much in the moonlight. It looked like it was competitive with her.

He slowly moved his face towards her face and closed his eyes. She too closed his eyes and was ready to accept the hiss.

He suddenly opened his eyes and realized the mistake he was going to commit was out of control. He moved a few steps away from her. He couldn't believe himself.

When she felt that nothing happened, she opened her eyes and looked at him confusingly.

"I'm sorry. That's my mistake," he said. The atmosphere was a little awkward. He searched his mobile in his pants pocket. He couldn't find it.

"s**t, I was in a hurry that I forgot my mobile phone in my car. Do you have your mobile phone?" He asked her.

"No, I too left it in my car," she said with disappointment.

"I hope our families aren't worried about us," he said and closed his eyes sadly.

"Wait here, I will collect some wood sticks to make fire," he said and moved away to ignore the awkwardness.

She looked at him amusingly.

"He is different from others. He is special among those who try to take advantage of a girl's situation," she thought and sat on a working lock near her.

After some time, Mark came with a bundle of wood sticks. He got two stones and tried to make a fire. He was delighted when he succeeded in that. He had brought some fruits to eat. He gave one of them to her and asked her to eat, but she gave a disgusting look.

"Common, this is our dinner. You won't get anything if you don't have them," he said.

She slowly got it from him and had a bite.

To her surprise, it was sweet. She had so many bites, as she was already hungry.

"Have a good sleep and don't worry about anything," he said and sat opposite to her near the fire.

He tried to make himself warm with the fire.

"Your girlfriend is so lucky," she said.

He looked at her with confusion.

"When did I have a girlfriend?" He said without realizing his lie.

"Ahh? You don't have a girlfriend? Then who is that girl?" Maddy asked suspiciously.

Maddy closed his eyes as he was caught red-handed.

He was silently cursing himself in his mind, "oh Mark, what have you done?"

"Mark, why are you silent?" She asked him.

"Nothing, of course, my girlfriend is lucky. I will take good care of my girl. You don't have to worry. Sleep peacefully now," he said and lay on the floor.

She frowned and went to sleep.

After a few hours, he heard some sound.

He opened his eyes slightly and lazily and looked around.

Maddy was murdering something while she was sleeping.

"No, please. Please leave me," she was repeating those words again and again.

Mark got panicked and went near her.

He tried to wake up her.

"Maddy, look at me. Please calm down. Maddy, do you hear me? He said and patted her cheek gently.

Maddy opened her eyes and looked into his eyes.

" Mark, thank God you are here. She hugged him immediately.
