At the shop
“Hello madam, welcome to our shop, how can I help you?” the shopkeeper asked them politely.
She directly went inside the shop and searched in the place where she had kept it.
“Are you searching for anything madam? Did you miss anything in our shop?” the shopkeeper asked them.
“Do you remember a phone that I had put on that chair(pointing towards a chair)? I need it back.” Maddy asked him searching around the chair.
“You mean the mobile phone that you told me to throw away?” the shopkeeper asked nervously.
“Yeah, that one” Maddy said.
“After you left our shop, a young lady came and told that that mobile phone was hers and she had missed it somewhere. She asked me permission to take it back. I just agreed,” he replied with fear.
“What? How dare you give it back to her? Do you know whether she was telling truth or not?” she fumed in anger.
“Sorry madam, I thought she was telling truth because she looked very innocent,” he said and looked at the ground because of guilty.
“Show me the CCTV footage. I want to see her immediately,” she demanded him.
The shopkeeper was still in the same position. He did not dare to move even one inch. That made her angrier.
“What now?”
“What now?” she asked furiously.
“Sorry madam, we have not finished the repair of our monitoring system. We are still working on it. It may take some time,” he somehow finished his words.
Maddy was most irritated and said, “how could you be so irresponsible?”
she dazed from there and dialed a number.
“Maddy, just relax. We still have the chance to use the mobile phone to blackmail him," one of her friends said.
“How?” Maddy asked curiously.
