John again turned towards the windows and was silent like he saw or heard nothing. Roy realized the different attitude of his friend today and felt something wrong.

He could not guess the reason for his unusual silence. So he tried to start a random topic.

"John, how is my selection for the head of the marketing department? Roy tried to change the tight environment and asked some silly questions as usual. But he received only silence as the reply. So he thought to ask him directly what is bothering him.

Roy knew very well that his friend will never discuss his problems with him and he had to find out by himself. So he tried to change the topic.

"Come on, I know I have already told you that I will never talk about girls in front of you, but she is your employee. you should at least try to build some professional relationships," he tried to give reasons for his questions.

"Try to build a professional relationship with her. She is very qualified more than this position. I could understand it through my fifteen minutes of chat with her," he said and gazed at John whether there is any reaction or not.

Still, there was silence only from another side.

Roy almost lost his patience and went near John. He gently tapped his shoulder. Only then, John came out of his daydreaming and turned towards Roy.

Roy was shocked to see his friend at this stage after a long time. He was this much stressed for the first and last time 10 years ago when his mother died due to some rare heart illness. But what had happened now to him. He could not understand what exactly happened now.

"John, what's the matter", Roy asked in a thin voice almost whispering with concern.

" Just find out the background of that marketing department head. Keep your eyes on her. I want to know full details about her", John did not change his posture.

Roy had no courage to ask more questions, but he knew very well that there should be some valid explanation behind every action of John. This is the first time his best friend is interested in some random new female colleague and it surprised him to the core.
