CHAPTER FOUR "Who knew that the Tucker's had their own secrets, especially Chris? So much for their perfect son getting married to a woman out of contract. I must tell my parents about this new development; they would love to know the secrets of their enemies," says Mandy as she begins to plan her next move. Mandy stands in front of the Rhodes mansion, heading straight for the family's private lounge. As soon as she steps in, she exclaims, "You won't believe what happened! Chris brought a poverty-stricken rat from nowhere and decides to marry her. I overheard that woman tell him they support his decisions unless something comes up, but of course, it gets better. I overheard Chris and the rat talking about a marriage contract. I am so furious right now, and Oliver has been calling me. I don't have time for his sappy romance tales. I need ideas on how to stop this wedding from happening," Mandy says in a fit of fury to her parents. "The wedding is happening in two weeks; there is a lot that can happen to ruin the wedding, but I think you should confront Chris with your new findings. That will startle him, and then you can take advantage of the situation," Rose says in a bid to comfort her daughter. "We can always come up with new ways, don't you agree, Kenneth?" Rose directs this to her husband, who nods in approval while Mandy looks very unsettled. ~~~TWO DAYS TO THE WEDDING~~~ Chris seems so happy to be marrying someone he has fallen in love with, despite his past. He is still confused about a lot of things and is secretly afraid for him and Anna, but he doesn't voice anything out. He simply lets his newfound love for Anna bloom over any of his doubts or concerns. He is smiling, just admiring the beauty of the garden when he spots Mandy approaching him. "What does she want this time?" he wonders with a scowl on his face. "I know about the marriage contract; do us both a favor and call off the wedding before I take drastic action," she says with a smirk. "Mandy, whatever will you do? I am so weak in the knees, darling. Do whatever you want, but I promise I will make your life a living hell if you harm my bride in any way," says Chris with a smug look on his face. He watches her struggle not to say more; she is probably thinking of another approach, and he knows to be ready for it. She hisses and starts to walk away. ******* "I want you to put this in her food, make sure she eats it before the wedding. It will make her fall asleep. I will change your life after I marry Chris. You will no longer be a glorified housemaid." Mandy says to an unknown person as she hands them the substance. Then she disappears into the darkness. ~~~THE WEDDING~~~ Shivers run down Anna's spine. She thinks this is why they call it the wedding jitters. Mandy has been too quiet, and Chris is concerned about what she might do. Anna continues to dress up, and as soon as she puts on her shoes, tears start rushing down her cheeks. But this time, they are tears of joy. She can't believe she is marrying someone she has fallen in love with in such a short span of time. Anna walks carefully down the aisle, sharing a smile with Chris. They say their wedding vows, and everything goes smoothly until the wedding anchor asks the golden question, "If you don’t agree to this union, speak now or forever hold your peace." The hall falls silent until Mandy objects. "This union is based on deceit, and I won't let it play out. Chris offered her a marriage contract because he didn't want to lose his inheritance. They don't love each other, and I know I would make a better Luna than Anna anyway," Mandy says confidently. The crowd goes quiet, but what Anna doesn't expect is Chris taking the microphone. Mandy's lips curl in annoyance and bewilderment as she stares at him. "I told you not to disrupt my wedding, but you refuse. I also want to inform the crowd that you have been sleeping with Oliver. He told me that you seduced him one night, and he's been in love with you ever since. He begged me not to marry you before I even knew about the ultimatum for me to get married," Chris says, shocking the crowd. "You have been sleeping with my brother, and you think you can come here and shame my wife. For us, this is just a ceremony because Anna is my identified mate and the new Luna of the Tucker pack," Chris continues, infuriated by Mandy's audacity. Mandy bows in shame as Oliver leaves the hall. The Tucker and Rhodes families are left in complete shock, but before they can process everything, Madam Maryrose begins to speak. "Now that all the secrets are out in the open, I also want to say that Mandy isn't just a cheat and a liar but also a very wicked person. She asked me to spike Anna's food so she would sleep throughout the wedding and not show up. I refused to do that because, even though Anna can't remember, a few years ago, she saved my daughter from dying, and since then, I have owed her. I wasn't sure at first if she was the same person, but it is now confirmed that it is her," Maryrose says, shocking the guests even further. "We can now apprehend her. This wedding must go on as planned. I apologize to my wife and my darling for not having her special day go as planned. I also want to tell my parents and all guests present that, even though it started with a marriage contract, we became friends and found a genuine connection with each other. I have never been so sure of what she means to me. Always and forever, my love for you will never change," Chris says, addressing Anna and the guests. Now that there is nothing left unsaid, I declare you husband and wife. May everyone rise as we celebrate the union between Alpha Mr. Chris and Luna Mrs. Anna of the Tucker pack. " Everyone rises. But then there's a gut-wrenchinh scream. Gasps erupt in the crowd as heads turn to the direction the noise came from. Chris'eyes tweak in annoyance as he anticipates to see who steps into the entrance. 1. 2. 3. A 6"3 man appears in the entrance, with long feedin braids cascading down his wide shoulders and a hazel eyes one can't miss. He is dressed in rather combat attire than a regular tuxedo and it's apparent he wasn't invited. Chris'eyes widen in shock as he realizes who it is. Anna exchange glances with Chris and everyone else and the same shock is on their faces too. Is she the only one who doesn't know who this intruder is? "Long time no see, brother." The man's bass voice echoed through the silent hall. His sharp eyes then tilted to meet Anna's, and with a sly grin, he says, "After so long, I'm happy I finally get to meet my cursed mate."
